HALO is one FPS that really did introduce many new gameplay elements. It offers all that is said below and the modifications already in development look to refine and improve the "HALO experience" even more!
Rich sci-fi experience.: Halo transports you into a science fiction universe fresh out of a Hollywood movie. With a detailed, twisting storyline, complex characters and cunning enemies, Halo will fulfill every sci-fi enthusiast's dreams.
Vehicle and foot-based action: Tackle missions any way you choose, be it storming an enemy base or taking the wheel or gunnery position in a variety of powerful vehicles. Vehicles range from stolen Covenant flyers to human tanks and more.
Intense online multiplayer shootouts.: Take the battle online with gamers from all over the world in a variety of individual and team-based games such as King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, Race, Oddball, Death Match, and more
Huge Weapon Variety. Enemies can be crushed with a vast array of human or Covenant weaponry, ranging from the stealthy semiautomatic pistols and needler guns to the fierce rocket launchers and fuel-rod gun.
Incredible mission variety. Fight the Covenant in a variety of missions as they uncover the dark secrets of Halo. Among the many objectives: to attack enemy outposts, raid underground labs for advanced technology, rescue fallen comrades, steal alien vehicles and weaponry, and snipe at enemy forces.
Indoor and outdoor combat. Fights are seamless in Halo's ultrarealistic indoor and outdoor environments as gamers hunt the Covenant in a variety of single-player and multiplayer battles.
About The Flood: Forgotten Exile with 1 comment by LoneWarrior on Feb 5th, 2012
Good news! It seems we were able to make a teaser trailer ready for tonight showing off 'Released' our first custom level. I'd like to remind everyone that everything is still WIP before watching! I'd also like to point out that we've officially changed the name of the mod from 'Flood Campaign Project' to 'The Flood: Forgotten Exile'. More on this later in this post. For now, the trailer!
Here are some pictures of the level, taken from the last news post:
You can check it out on Youtube here:
Regarding the change of the mod name to 'The Flood: Forgotten Exile'; it's been in the works for a while now. I felt that with an 'official' name aside from just 'Flood Campaign Project' it would help establish that we're in this for the long haul, that we'll finish this project, all of it. As well as that, it hints to what the story of the mod is about. I've been dropping bits and pieces ever so often about what the story is, but I've never said anything concrete about it.
I'll make a dedicated post about it later, as it's quite long. For now, enjoy the trailer! We hope to show you guys more soon.
Edit: It seems Moddb was kind of late uploading this news post.

Halo on the PC is hopeless. Around the time Halo 1 came to the PC halo 2 came out for the xbox, then around the time Halo 2 came out for the PC was around the time Halo 3 came out for the xbox 360. I mean come on if you really wanted Halo that badly you probably would have bought a xbox before the PC version came out. If they want the ports to be actually be sucessful they should get the ports out quicker and not take 4 f*cking years to do it.
Not only is Halo vastly overrated compared to just about any PC FPS,it has to compete with shooters of superior quality.(Half Life, Metroid Prime series, Quake, Unreal) The Red vs Blue makers know how to write a better story and plot then Bungie ever could. I'm glad that Microsoft is paying Gearbox to make the next Halo game. At least they can make a plot without resorting to generic gameplay.
What.....are....you...talking..about?
Gearbox didn't make any Halo. Not one. The only "Halo" they made was a conversion. They converted the game to PC. They created 3 versions: Retail (a.k.a. "Full" or "PC"), Custom Edition (a.k.a. Halo CE), and Halo Trial. Bungie Made it for Macs originally. Microsoft apparently had more "monies" and buys Bungie's love. It is sold on Xbox, which Microsoft basically tells Gearbox to convert to PC. The game is sold for macs for a little while before Microsoft pulls the plug and makes it PC exclusively. Bungie's not the jerk- Microsoft is. Microsoft makes the poorly decided deadlines and platform compatibility decisions. They're the one's who have the Nazi-ish anti-modding attitude against the modding community, not Bungie.
You obviously missed out on the news, that was released a few months ago.

umm...im not about to buy a brand new system just to buy Halo...no halo is that good. Bungie did take their sweet time in releasing, but they did deliver with a sweet online multiplayer.
Go die
how do u get the mod on halo
I know why people are still making mods for this game... because it rules!
people are still making mods for this game because the game in raw sucks and it needs the community doctor to make it better
I can't even run all that. the best I can get is Halo 1, half-way between the minimum and recommended requirements.
