With the largest fanbase of any game ever released and well over 50 awards to it's name, Half-Life by Valve Software is undoubtably one of the greatest games ever. Half-Life's great assets though is it's modding potential and as shown by brilliant titles such as Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Team Fortress Classic, there is no question as to why more mods exist for Half-Life than any other game. If you havn't given this game a whirl and one of it's many mods you are definitely missing out!

Description
Counter-Life Beta 7. It has been a long wait, hasn't it?
-=[ Fixes and Features ]=-
GAMEPLAY:
- Removed dynamic lighting from Alien Controllers. That causes the Xen crashing.
- Removed models/sounds/sprites that are not required in order to save space.
- Fixes titles.txt so that the proper titles would show.
- Rebalanced the money received from killing monsters.
- Redone buy menu for rifles. Now split into Assault or Sniper instead of CT or T.
- Zombies take very little damage unless shot/slashed/stabbed in the head. Explosives works like normal.
- Better bank display.
- Limit maximum money to 950,000,000. Any higher and it comes with a 'price'.
- *Splash screen by Big Head Crab (i think... It's been sitting in my HD for a long time.)
WEAPONS
- Changed crosshair - WARNING! BE CARFUL WHEN EDITING THE SPRITES!
- Removed non-CS weapons.
- M4A1 price increased.
- C4 max amount is now 3.
- H&K G3/SG-1/Sig SG-550 and Benelli M4 Super 90 are changed back to their original ROF.
- Benelli M3 Super 90 now shoots buckshots instead of slugs.
- Removed Sniper Shroud. It's not working perfectly so SCREW IT!
- Elites and Sig P228 are back to their original calibre.
- Removed gun puffs. Looks weird to see a floating puff of smoke when you fire and move
- Removed M4A1's silencer and replaced it with M203.
- Readjust reloading and draw delay times for all weapons.
- Fixed some weapons' animation.
- Removed shrapnels for the C4, HE and LAW. Redundant bastards.
- Added Ultimate Weapon.
*Ignore the Beta 6.5. This is CL Beta 7.

nice to see beta 7 is here, but does this fix that ridiculus damage output from the grunts and the hp of the enemy? taking 20 damage from a SINGLE bullet from the grunts, and being able to kill almost anything with a single knife hit is just getting lame...
yea taking 20 damage from single bullet is ridiculous. The damage should be 50 or even more. :P Human is not walking tank capable of taking tremendous amounts of punishing.
Human is not walking around in an Hazardous Environment Suit
You could increase/decrease damage given/received via the skill.cfg

It's just plain HL with CS weapons. I wanted to do a demo vid for this but I lacked the time. School's starting soon so there won't be any updates unless deemed necessary (good grief, I keep have problems spelling this word) or when the holidays are coming.
I love this mod. Combining Half Life with Counter Strike made this epic win.

when I trying to create a server I'm getting
Fatal Error: couldn't open cs_assault.wad
never mind
actually it's still happening for every map I try to create I get the corresponding error message mapname.wad error.
Get the .wad from the cs .gcf file. Make sure it's in the Counter-Life folder.

how do i get in the test chamber its inpossable for me to get in there cuz no one is in there.

I can open the zip-file with WinRar and put it in the right folder... but Steam can't find the mod... it freakin' sucks! I wanna play mods...
looks good lol the should do a hl3 but do it as the combine and there revengo of gordon freeman and barny should become you bich so you can shove him into the battle fist to see if its safe lol :)
