As requested i got the chargers. Remember putting these directly into models wont work, you have to remap any map that uses a charger
Nice ,but......are you planning to add those to the original maps?
I would if i knew how, but there is a way by using ripent, maybe ask amd889 because in his redux he used hd chargers, or ask crowbar cause he used hd ones in hl gold
You can replace the health brush models with this .mdl if you find their information after extracting the map in ripent. takes a while todo it.
Awesome!
what do u meen by remapping
You see, in Half-life the health and suit chargers are brush entities in the maps, so in order to use these in the original game you have to replace the low def chargers with these models. You can do it in a program called ripent
Thanks for this, well done!
why wont ripent work help please
can you put this on garys mod

From the comments, and lack of actual map conversion packs with these models, it's safe to say it's harder to pull off than one might think.
First, ripent can't help you because the original entities are brush based and the entity lump doesn't know where the brush models are, only referencing it with an ID. You need to look at other parts of the BSP for those models to then figure out where they are in the world, and ripent can't do that. THEN you need to figure out how to read the face properties of those brush models to know which direction the health/hev charger is facing.
It's 2022 now and there now exists a tool called bspguy, which lets you graphically edit BSPs. So you can now place the models directly where the old brush models are, set the brush model transparent, and figure out how to switch the model to the "spent" version with some actual triggering trickery, directly from the mapping handbook. But it's tedious manual work that needs to be repeated for /every single health and hev charger in the entire game/ and there doesn't seem to be any way to streamline it.
So how do we do it now on 2023 then? I just want to have these on hldm. And play Crossfire, rapidcore, and all those maps with it, but it seems its even harder than I expected
