Pick up the crowbar of research scientist Gordon Freeman, and find yourself on an alien-infested Earth being picked to the bone, its resources depleted, its populace dwindling. You must rescue the world from the wrong you unleashed back at Black Mesa.

The original Half-Life sent a shock through the game industry with its combination of pounding action and continuous, immersive storytelling. Valve's debut title won more than 50 Game of the Year awards, was named "Best Game Ever" by PC Gamer, and launched a franchise which has since sold over 11 million units worldwide. By taking the suspense, challenge and visceral charge of the original Half-Life and adding startling new realism and responsiveness, Half-Life 2 opens the door to a world where the player’s presence affects everything around him or her, from the physical environment to the behaviors and even the emotions of both friends and enemies.

Technical note: most mods “for Half-Life 2” are actually cross-compatible with all of Valve's Source engine games. Check a mod’s profile for details on whether a specific game is needed.

Player Hubs - New Feature Coming in January

Recently I explained how to create massive virtual worlds that are functional representations of your PC & the internet: Imgur.com

The new feature I am announcing today takes it a step further by bringing together the virtual worlds that you have created with those that your friends have created.

There's an awesome new feature on the horizon that will bring together the AArcade community like never before and link us all together in one huge woven VR web. It's called Player Hubs, and thanks to the successful Kickstarter, it is one of the new features that will be working its way into the end of January release.

Player Hubs are simple, small, themed spaces that you fully customize to represent yourself and your favorite stuff. You can create how ever many hubs you want. After you have created a Player Hub, you share it to the Steam workshop so your friends can spawn your hub as part of their own, larger, virtual world!

If you ever update your player hub, your friends will automatically see your changes everywhere that they have your player hub spawned at. This means that the content in your and your friends' arcades will always be fresh and have your favorite stuff!

There are only 2 days left to pledge to the Kickstarter and reach the 1st stretch goal. If this goal is met, 3D artist Black_Stormy will join the development team and make us some great props to use in our arcades.

Don't miss out on the metaverse! AArcade is a fully functional Windows Desktop wallpaper image replacement! Browse YOUR files and launch YOUR favorite stuff from a 3D multiplayer environment instead of looking at Windows's boring old desktop & file explorer! The future is now!

I play in a netbook, and when i play some games, the game is "freezed", and in some times, like a slow motion effect ^^, i try play CoD:MW 3, and i play it in low definition, i failed, in some times i play HL, but like CoD, in some times (a lot of time when i stay in a strobe light) the screen is "freezed" and i can't play, is very annoying, but I get used ;), also, i have a netbook because is of my brother, the goverment gave it, and i haven't money for pay a notebook or a PC, is out of my hands.

Really, almost any version of Windows works for this game. You don't need a 64-Bit system for it so you're good there, and you have 2 GB of memory, which is more than enough. DirectX 11 is 2 versions ahead of what you need (a good thing), the only bad news... You need a 1.7 GHz processor to run this game. Now the mods shouldn't affect the game's standards, unless they mess with video settings. Now, I'm not saying that the game won't run on your computer, but your processor might not be able to handle the game. Make sure you set all of your settings for game quality to the lowest settings.

and What is the best processor for play a lot of games??, as Crysis, HL2, and without be 'freezed' the screen, or that work very bad, and the "GHz", Does it have anything to do with the screen's "freeze"?.
And I Live in Argentina :), only sold "NVIDEA Ge Force" Video-Card, I can't remember the model, but in this link [ Computacion.mercadolibre.com.ar ] you can meet many models of NVIDEA :). What do you recommend me,of all these models? :)

It might if you play on low graphics (processor matters, but don't lose hope, warframe is only just out of my reach, and i have a pentium 4), but be careful, some mods don't use lod's or any sort of graphics settings, meaning textures that are new may cause severe lag. Be warned, this happens to me sometimes in tf2, and because of that processor, you're at even more of a risk of this.

Even if it flunks (which it won't) there's always the new source sdk, and modders with way too much free time and/or charity. Zombie Master 3, anyone?

If it does suck we can only hope that with it there will be a much better engine that is comparable to that of the CryEngine or Frostbite in terms of performance and freedom.

Sadly it never ends for Gordon Freeman, he is gaming worlds Jack Bauer, consistently going from one bad day to the next. No sooner have you blown up the head of the Xenian Nihilanth and discussed career prospects with the mysterious G-Man than he tosses you in the mix again. Another train ride another mysterious situation leaving Gordon (and you the gamer) none the wiser, but thats what we like about the Half-life series and all it's canonical universe, Valve will always give you a Palm d'or plot…
