Pick up the crowbar of research scientist Gordon Freeman, who finds himself on an alien-infested Earth being picked to the bone, its resources depleted, its populace dwindling. Freeman is thrust into the unenviable role of rescuing the world from the wrong he unleashed back at Black Mesa. And a lot of people, people he cares about, are counting on him.

Description

Deep within a location now know as City 5 a man awakens. An unknown rebel living within the slums of City in a room with barely enough space to stand up he begins his journey to the cost and to freedom. You play as an unknown rebel who must escape the city by any means necessary you journey through the city whilst fighting to avoid becoming the combine’s next victim. City 5 consists of one beautifully made map but unfortunately does not feature any unique game play, just pure enjoyment over the fantastic map accompanied by beautiful music City 5 is the brainchild of Tom Gothorp a hardcore half-life 2 fan from England. This mod was approximately two months in the making due to school work and the fact that this was only a one man operation. I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed making it. Extract the city 5 folder into C:/programme_files/Steam/steamapps/sourcemods Check out the trailer for a better idea of this mod

This looks interesting, I'll check it out sometime.
Just as a helpful tip, I think that by classifying this as an "addon", you've sort of limited your audience, as I know many people only look under the "mod" tab.

I put it under the addon tab because i had to show development progress in the mod tab and I had already finished it. Plus as well it's only 1 map long therfore I think it's too short to be a mod so I put it in the addons section

I think you read 'development progress' back to front. They just want proof that it's not pure vapourware - a finished mod proves that it isn't vapourware ;)

Work in progress shots are only needed for unfinished mods.

Well, very short, and as mentioned in the description no game play of real interest. Uninteresting enough that despite having just played it, I can't really remember anything, except the ending, which a very hard, straight forward (as in standing at opposite ends of the street with no cover), near suicidal shootout.

The map might have been well crafted, but not well enough that I remember any of it. Of course, that also means that it wasn't bad enough to stand out. Throw in some better game play, and it might get good.

I agree, the level itself was nicely done, but it needs a plot and some length. Why are you fleeing? What happens after you get out of the city?

The shootout in the end was fairly simple if you use the vehicle as a cover and it kinda worked for me.

I just finished this mod, and I must say it's a really good mod. But there are some things that could be improved. The map didn't run very smoothly on my computer, maybe because he's quite old, but I think it may need some optimization. I think you can do a good mod, if you add a real plot, and maybe more length. The mapping itself is good. Keep making things like this :D
