Escape the confines of City 17 and strike a blow for the resistance!

As Dr. Gordon Freeman, you were last seen exiting City 17 with Alyx Vance as the Citadel erupted amidst a storm of unknown proportions. Now, in Episode Two, you must battle and race against Combine forces as you traverse the White Forest to deliver a crucial information packet stolen from the Citadel to an enclave of fellow resistance scientists.

Episode Two is the second of a planned trilogy of games that extends the award-winning and best-selling Half-Life adventure. Unique weapons, vehicles, and new creatures, friends, and enemies all make an appearance.

Some people missed the ladder in level 8, which can be seen on the screen below at the right side;

This made that the player didn't find the sniper rifle on the catwalk above the road, and also did he miss a trigger there which spawned 2 combines higher up. This caused that 2 floating guns could be seen lateron. To make this side path more clear i have added the ramp that can be seen above on the screen, (left of the ladder). Should the player still miss this ladder/ramp now then he can find near the end of level 8 a second sniper rifle, and also are those 2 combines triggered with another trigger higher up the mountain road;

All other changes have to do with that there were some troubles with the credit text on screen when the mod was played with a FOV of 90. And although most people don't play on FOV 90 i still decided to fix those issues. They are to minor to name then all here, but i could show some of them through a screenshot. Just to show how minor these errors were;

In level 1 the Gordon player figures shoulder goes through the camera, (see screen above left corner down).

The top left corner of the screen above shows the rocks through the black credit screen.

For some odd reason the text didn't show well on wide screens, as show above.

Gordons head was for a part of the second going through the camera, as can be seen in the screen above on the left top corner.

So, as you can see are most of the changes in this 2.0 version to small to name. I will also release a Patch Ep3 v.2.0 for those people who already did download and install the previous (v.1.0 or 1.1) version. For some people there seems to be a problem with Patch Ep3 v.1.1 or Mod version 1.1. Map 08 seems to cause a AI_disabled error messsage. So should you play any of the previous versions of the mod then please just install the small 2.0 Patch and make it override everything.

And for those who never played this mod and would like to give it a try, please use this version 2.0 Patch v.2.0 is then ofcourse not needed.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO READ THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS VERY WELL, THERE EASY BUT NEED TO BE FOLLOWED TO MAKE THIS MOD RUN !!

A warning, for those who dislike HL2 sp-mod which not follow exactly the HL universe, this is such a mod. Meaning, this mod makes use of cutscenes in which is shows Gordon. It has all original HL2 weapons and combine skins changed in to custom made ones.

If Valve are going to make Half Life 2: Episode Three, they have got to make it full of revenge for Alyx's father. Like, to try and wipe the combine forces straight out of City 17, to make it a free city.

Then maybe a new threat?

This is just my opinion, so I'm not trying to make it be like that, but I would like it like that.

i'm having a hard time starting a mod for episode 2. everyone says i have to use the 2007 engine to do it, but there is no option to use ANY game with that engine. wtf?

It's because Valve doesn't care anymore, you can't even fix it because they didn't include anyway to update your mod to the 2009 version.
