Hahaha, cute little game, I like it.
But I think that the view distance should be bigger - and the camera in the multiplayer mode needs some work.

But with some polishing (markers which direct you to the next fly, score board, different colours for the players and so on) this game could be a perfect filler if you have 5 spare minutes :D

Thanks for the comment. :)

What would you change to the multiplayer camera to improve it?

maybe something the way little big planet does it: camera zooms out to a point, and if a player moves beyond the camera, they die after a certain amt of time

I ended up putting co-op split-screen in the latest version (24), but I do have the off-screen dying in "Follow"-mode where the camera sticks to the big fish (you can find it in the Menu Cave).

It zooms out to slowly - sometimes you can swim out of the visible field when both players are far away from each other.

@flaxed @jlalleve yep, but sometimes this can give ideas for how to fudge things better in the meantime...

@bfod ... when they figure out how to break captured detailed expression into dynamically combined components they'll have my attention.

Dec 10 2014, 11:49am

@bfod this will get better with improved performance capture, though that's kind of a red herring for games cause of its inherent linearity.

Dec 10 2014, 11:45am

@bfod personally not a fan of that at all, imperfect capture oft falls flat emotionally, esp in hyper real gfx...

Dec 10 2014, 11:44am

@bfod still, one aims to improve in all things :)

Dec 10 2014, 11:33am

@bfod tbh I'll settle for game characters not having dead eyes and botox face before I demand perfect facial structure.

Dec 10 2014, 11:33am

@bfod true, anatomy is often a bit off, though many of these examples I think are not that bad

Dec 10 2014, 11:31am

@bfod ... if anything the problem with faces in games is that they are not flexible enough.
