Hello dearest fans, friends and longtime supporters,

It pains me greatly to make this post. Please be patient as this is a very difficult post for me.

The beginning

7 years ago, back in December 2005, I spent a week evaluating games and engines to find something suitable for a small fan project, a gundam RTS. At the time, fan projects often would die before getting to even a playable state. I felt that by making a truly complete fan project would make Bandai see that Americans do love gundam. I wanted to make moving, fighting fan art, something only a modder of my experience could do. So I started out, I made Gundam Annihilation for TA then came the spring engine, a chance to make a truly free Gundam game!

So I have worked and worked and worked for 6+ years. As I worked I noticed a change in the world. I am just moving with those changes.

What are you going to do now?

I'll take the game system I have worked on and do some independent IP project. With my own designs and characters. I will do this because it is my nature to make things. I have not decided on a name for said project just that I know it is an inevitability that I will do something. I am not going into details here as I have no decided what I will do.

I've watched this project for years ( OTA engine ), I love how it has developed so far. I'd be able to reduce your workload if it was OTA related stuff, but I don't have the newer developer stuff. Maybe someone can direct me?

Well I'm mostly self-taught, but I can model and do a bit of scripting(idk how different lua is though) and I don't have the texture ext or w/e on my computer so I can't texture.

I downloaded last night I love the game. Just wanted to see a few things though. Seems to me the ai just builds thirty tanks and sends them within the first ten seconds of skirmish while your base building it's kinda hard to defend yourself right away. But I'd love to see how far this game could go. So you have my support if you need it.

yeah the ai is just a spawner, it becomes stronger and stronger.

Yea the biggest problem would be the model for it and then again the texture, creating models of mecha seems hard to do so it would just be more work onto smoth's plate.

If your intrested in seed then there is a gundam seed mod for homeworld 2, its really good and still in development.

I wouldn't mind texturing them or cleaning them up. It is part of keeping the art consistant. As you said the main issue is the workload. Having some help would be great but I have only met 2 people who were both willing and capable enough to make notable contributions. Everyone else has only helped with the odd task here and there.
