"Inverto" is a first person shooter-puzzler with gravity manipulations. Game is ideological successor of such games as "Prey" and "Portal" with a pinch of parkour and platformer elements. "Inverto" is developed on Unity3D game engine and is planned on Windows, Mac, Linux. Will be released later this year. Latest alpha of the game is available on Desura.

Inverto

Proceed all of the testing areas as a simple researcher with your trusty GraviGun. Prepare to explore Escher-esque spaces and solve navigational and gravitational puzzles by changing gravity direction, employing body momentum and fighting nausea (if only you have weak vestibular system).

Still not sure? Check out this videos:

Latest public version of the game is in alpha state, and does not represent final product quality.

Hello, everyone!

New render in Unity 5

It was looong ago since I've posted here, even forgot how to do that. Not gonna write why, previous post is still relevant even though it's an year-old post. If you've followed my twitter, you might have seen these new screenies. This is what Inverto looks like on Unity 5. So whats new except graphics? As you might know Inverto has an integrated level editor. Well not anymore... Now a Level Editor has an integrated game - Inverto. And it is called...

VoxelWorks

Fully featured, fully integrated and even more than just an editor (in future versions). In near future it will probably be a standalone FPS creation tool. Easy to use, yet powerful enough to create a quick good looking shooter.

editor evolution

Not gonna do a full announcement yet. I still need to finish it as Inverto Editor, and I need testers, lots of them.. So if for some reason you think you can help test it, wanna hunt some bugs, or just play around with it, drop me a line.

BTW, What do you think about a small mapping competition? I'm thinking... prizes =)

Steam and SteamWorks

Let's face it,you thought project is dead (no matter what developer says), it's just was so long since last update. It's easy to get despaired, I know. Steam is the reason why you here, and as I said before

Since game is greenlit almost two years ago (that's a pain to say out loud for me) all you need to do is get game on Desura and you will get your free steam key.

Conclusion

There will be a series of posts, I'm planning before an upcoming, long-awaited, "finally" an update, where I gradually introduce all the features. So in two terms:

  • it's alive
  • it's coming
  • it has an editor
  • get it here, and you don't have to pay for it on Steam!

I'm not aware of how folders are structured in groupees version, I've submitted two separate archives for game and editor. You can try searching for "InvertoEditor.exe"?

Will those purchasing via IGS right now receive a STEAM KEY?

"It have been discussed in comments and now it's officially announced. Everyone purchasing an alpha on Desura not only gets it at a discounted price (which will increase with more updates) but also will get Steam key once game will be Greenlit!"

When you redeem a game on Desura, you become alpha owner which means, when game will get on Steam you get a Steam key, just like every other alpha owner.

Thank you for the confirmation and the prompt response, bought the game a few minutes ago.
(A while back I think I ran across your site, glad to see you getting some exposure, had totally forgot about Inverto until I saw it on IGS.)

Will vote for it to be Greenlite on Steam.
Note: I use STEAM due to the convenience, but I would prefer and did download the DRM FREE VERSION.

I hope you keep a DRM FREE VERSION of the game available when Inverto is Greenlit on STEAM.

Level 5, (Energy), are you supposed to start with the gravity gun? I activated the first bridge, now I have no idea what to do next.

Yeah.. level 5. That bug was fixed, but unfortunately I've never updated the game. Currently you can fix this by dying(get crashed by elevator at the beginning).
