The name is Bond. James Bond. The famous hero of Ian Fleming's novels returns in this first-person shooter, which is based on the movie of the same name. Agent 007 and his friend Alec Trevalyan (a.k.a. Agent 006) were sent to Soviet Union on a secret mission. But everything goes wrong, James Bond barely escapes, and his friend is presumed dead.
This game is engraved in my mind, and I still enjoy playing it today. My only wish is that it will go the same path that Perfect Dark did (in coming to the XBLA). Many, many memories with this game. Who didn't love cheating on it?
My parents were very strict with me when it came to videogames, forcing me to play them only on weekends to avoid becoming anti-social, as I had very little friends when I was young.
So Every Friday I would be filled with anticipation to get home from school. As Every Friday was Golden-Eye Day :D
I would play it from the the minute I got off the bus to when I went to bed. It didn't matter how many times I beat it or how many cheatcodes I used to rampage through the levels, it was fun beyond comprehension. The Graphics were awe-inspiring to me and the explosions were a sight to behold.
Without GoldenEye, I'm not sure how many friends I would have made or how my life could have gone if I didn't start playing First Person Shooters, letting me socialize with people who also loved the game to death and ultimately make new friends in the process.. It was my childhood and considering where I am now, I am grateful for what it has done to me. It is a Perfect game all around and a classic in every form :)
There is only one!
This game is THE first person shooter of it's time!
