I really hate doing this, but you should first fix the game and then worry about releasing it on other distribution channels.
Right now it's an unplayable mess, and no one is playing it. Besides, we were promised a free DLC adding a different time period and it never came.
Perhaps building the player-base is what they need to fund the changes you are hoping for?

I thought this game was abandoned? I bought 2 copies on steam and unable to play even LAN with the 2 copies. I thought multiplayer was literally dead because all support was pulled for the game?
Did something change?
