It's pretty generic, just like most third person shooters this days. shoot the shit out of lods'a monsters, hear a annoying briefing that won't help you even a bit, use bigass machinegun, face different enemies and all the shit you can imagine(in a action game of course). But, this game, has nothing too inovative, it's just, TAKE COVER, SHOOT, SPRINT TO COVER, SHOOT, KILL AND ENEMIE USING MELEE, ADVANCE IN STAGE, KILL THEM, KILL MOAR LOCUST, ADVANCE IN STAGE, and keep on goin'. i had a bit of fun…

This game is badass, can't wait for the 3rd one XD
man, i want gears 2 for pc...
gears is great and unique only due to gameplay ,cover system and all the rest action feature ,also mods.....

The only unique thing in the game is the lancer everything else has been done before.
God of War is a unique game. yet it has essential gameplay elements that have been done before (hack&slash)
but like Gears of War, God of War is unique for its sense of weight and brutallity that wasn't in its genre's predecessors
but after its release, there's so many games trying to ape it.
Gears 3 come to PC, God bless it........
