Gavin is a simple man with simple pleasures and simple needs. He has a simple job that requires him to deal with simple people and simple tasks. He has a simple home and a simple yard, and in that yard is a simple dog. Gavin is also a sociopath. His outlook on humanity is as bleak as his tasteless attire. But one fateful night will change his life forever and force him to make decisions that will affect every living thing in the universe. Will people sing of the mighty warrior Gavin, an honourable soldier who fought for what was right, or will they sing of the dark lord Gavin, an evil individual who sought nothing but self gain? You decide, for, you and Gavin are one and the same.

Gavin: The Video Game is a side-scrolling, platforming, stealth, shooter, beat-em-up, role playing game. The player takes the role of the indubitable Gavin. After a, how shall we say, change in lifestyle, he is forced to fight against hordes of evil beings in order to survive, until a greater plot is uncovered, one that will decide the fate of everything. Gavin: The Video Game will utilize visceral violence and a fear system, the fear system will allow the player more freedom in how they finish a level, for instead of just killing an enemy, the player can instead instil fear on their enemies by dropping a limb on top of them, or flashing their presence. The enemy will slowly change their behaviour accordingly. Besides this, the player will be given many other options to complete and objective. There will be many unique and upgradable weapons such as the terrifying Butter Knife. The player also has the option of upgrading any number of Gavin's skills like agility or impatience.

All in all, Gavin: The Video Game is about giving the player freedom and telling a story that the world is sorely lacking.
