In Future Man: Beyond the Past, the player is sent off to the past to change an important event in history, but something went wrong with his time travel device and now the hero finds himself back in medieval times. The hero notices very quickly that he is not welcome there since the word is spreading very fast that the devil himself has come to earth. Now Our hero has to fight against the medieval people and has to find a way back home. To defend himself, the hero got a very special kind of weapon. Unlock new features for your weapon to defeat your enemies in different ways. The player will also be able to pick up any Medieval Weapon to defeat his Enemies.
Future Man is a 2.5D Platformer Beat'm Up Game, based on the Unreal Development Kit.
The game will have several chapters, each chapter will contain 3-4 levels. At the end of each Chapter one Boss enemie will awaits the player to send the "devil" back to hell.
Puzzles will be a main element too, the only way to solve them is to be creative. There is not just one way to solve a puzzle, there will be multiply ways for it!
What is really important for us is, that the world is feeling very dynamic. Are you wondering if you can lift that stone and stick it with glue to the wall to create a simple stair to continue with the level or reach hidden areas ? Why not try it out. There is a closed Gate in front of you ? Well take a air compressed shockwave feature and blast that gate open or if you dont have that feature yet think of another way to get it open, maybe taking the physics feature, rip a tree out of the ground and bust that gate open with it. There are a lot of ways to solve situations in Future Man: Beyond the Past. How will you do it ?
We are also open to the possibility to create a coop mode for our game. Busting the Medieval world together with a friend would just be awesome.
In today's update we want to bring you the latest concept shot image.
It shows the river corssing scene from our first level, where the player has to find a way to cross the river.
Will you freeze the water in order to be able to reach the other side or will you grab a tree from the path and build your own bridge?
We still search for a talented animator.
You should be able to create realistic human animations with the UDK standard rig.
