Quote:Introducing the Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle!
Humble Bundle is back with another pay-what-you-want plus charity deal on sweet indie games -- the Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle! Thanks to everyone's past support, Humble Bundles have now raised over $2,000,000 for charity (the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play charity).

Quote:This bundle features the exquisite, turn-based tactical strategy game Frozen Synapse, now available on Linux for the first time ever. We're also launching with a bonus incentive: purchasers who beat the average price on the site will receive the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle, which includes Trine, Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds Survivor, the Jack Claw game prototype, and a preorder for Splot.

When you buy the bundle, you'll not only get DRM-free copies of the games for Mac, Windows and Linux, but you'll also get redemption keys for Steam and other platforms.

The promotion will only last 14 days though, so please tell your friends and check out the Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle!

Hmm, this isn't really a bundle right? Or am I missing something?

Anyway, buy this game. It's awesome.

It's a bundle of one. I guess they are using the term bundle the same people say "a pair of trousers"

Why didn't they include Determinance? Though it's Windows only, maybe that's why.

I'm not sure what *you* are talking about, but I'm going to buy the one with 6 games, where Frozen Synapse is in front.

Just sayin' ...

Determinance by the same developer

*You* can't google it?

Same engine, right?

I know, could be much work to port it anyway.

Yes. Maybe if Determinance would get more attention and more sales, Mode 7 Games could probably consider porting it to Linux & Mac. It doesn't seem to be possible right now...

I wasn't replying to you, mate .. In fact I wouldn't need to google 'Determinance' as I already own it.

But hey, burn on me.

Still doesn't make it a bundle - you're purchasing the HB#FS "bundle" comprising of 1 game (Frozen Synapse) and getting a bonus game (Trauma) and a bonus bundle (HB#FrozenByte). I too was surprised to see a "bundle" of 1 :D

Still went ahead and promptly purchased it for $20 though (already own Trauma and HB#FB) :)

(odd, it didn't reply to the correct comment - this is in response to Darthlex's comment above about 6 games)

It is a bundle of four, if you pay more than the average purchaser ($4.50 at the moment). You also get Trine and the two Shadowgrounds games.

Humble bundles. They've only been around for a short while and we're already feeling nostalgic toward the earlier ones. I for one enjoy seeing these bundles released, regardless of their contents.

Edit: Derp, didn't read your comment properly first time - I'd like to get the first bundle too. They should continue selling the previous bundles but at double or triple the average price - at least that way you can buy the pack despite missing the sale.

This is a really great game. Hope everyone gets it!
Just sad part is that the servers are really filled now, it takes AGES (more like 15 minutes) to log on the game, but still, Frozen Synapse is one of the best Strategy games out there, can't really say it is an indie!

What's the difference between HiB version and normal version?

You can split the money to both the indie devs and charity, which IMO is something beautiful.

I bought the last two for like 10 bucks... so I'm gonna take this one for a penny lol sorry guys I have no money atm xD next time though! keep doing these!!

rioninja Sep 28 2011, 11:04pm replied:

You should definitely give more than that. The HIB guys have to pay for transaction fees and web hosting, so paying a penny is actually costing them money. I'm sure you can swing a few dollars.

joeka Sep 29 2011, 4:11am replied:

No he is right, you shouldn't pay less than a dollar. Also use bittorrent for downloading the game, it's cheaper for them. And you can pay more later, when you like the game and you have more money. You can change the amount afterwards.

rioninja Sep 29 2011, 10:13am replied:

Druza, I didn't intend to be a jerk when I said that. People don't realize that paying a penny can actually cost the HIB guys money. BTW, don't be a hypocrite.

If you pay more than the average ($5.00 should be enough) you get Trine, Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds: Survivor, Jack Claw "prototype", and a Splot pre-order.

So yes, it is a "bundle".

rustybroomhandle Sep 29 2011, 4:56am says:

I picked it up for $25 even though I already bought it on Steam, and own the previous HiB games. What this did give me though that I did not have before was the excellent soundtrack.

The soundtrack also includes another album by nervous_testpilot, called "Module YOU.DLL Caused a General Protection Fault in Application MY_HEART.EXE" AND a chiptune album by him under the name "_ensnare_", and two FS bonus tracks.

It's more like the Humble Frozen Synapse Original Sountrack and Other Music Bundle.

You get a Desura key with the bundle - so buy it there :D You can also choose your price (I paid $20 as I already own HB#FB and Trauma and didn't feel it was quite worth $25 but then I thought Portal 2 was overpriced at $45 :D)
