A 2-dimensional top-down maze game, taking heavy cues from Atari 2600 classic, 'Adventure'. You, as Captain Dirk British, must navigate ten increasingly complex mazes, rescuing (by way of collecting) the inhabitants of the foreign planet upon which you've landed, the strange Flibbles. As you do, an intricate tale full of twists and deception unfolds before you, which requires a lot of investigation and, y'know, adventuring. So get on that.

It's nowhere near perfect or anything, and it draws more than a few worrying comparisons to Too Human, but I'm enjoying it.

It's like if you had a game called "Derek the Bloke Who Was Really Good With Swords" then used a crossbow all the time.

Looks very lovely. The world is well realised. I'm going full blown Technomancer build because... That's the title of the game.

The main character is irrevocably dull, though. Like Male Shepard with less charisma. And my guy looks like Christian Slater.

Could just be that he utterly buggered his build. There's SO MANY things to upgrade all the time. I can see how you could naff it all.

I read that IGN review and I dunno what that guy's on about. The enemies aren't insurmountable. Maybe they get so later.

Jun 28 2016

Technomancer, then. Couple of hours in. It's basically Cyberpunk Fable. In fact, it's exactly Cyberpunk Fable.
