Mommy say's I'll get to see Santa Clause soon! All the kids go to the mall to see Santa but Mommy says that Santa is a fake. She's taking me somewhere to go and see the real Santa Clause! Mommy said he has a gift just for me! I can't wait to sit in his lap! Written by Ethan, December 21st, 2011. Festival follows the short story involving discovery, love, and playful imagination. The game will only last you 30 minutes at most and there is no replay value. However you'll find a suitable amount of mental stimulation in those mere 30 minutes. Festival also won R3 Year's End Festive Game Competition, in case that sways you over. I cannot give much information because there isn't much information to give. The story, while there is one, is stripped to essentials and so anything I possibly give I would consider spoilers. There's only two main characters, Ethan, and the other I can't give a name to because of spoilers. The game has a 100% original soundtrack and sound effects.

Just to reply to the review criticizing (and I use the word loosely) the 77 MB that is Festival:

All RPG Maker VX games require the RTP to run. To get this RTP you'd either have to download RPG Maker VX yourself or when creating a game you can choose to include the RTP with it.

This RPG Maker VX game does not include the RTP: Indiedb.com

Therefore, as you can see in the comments, players are confused because the game won't run without the RTP.

I chose to include it in my game due to ease of use. The RTP is around 30-40 MB last I checked.

The remaining 30 or so MB that is Festival is primarily the high quality custom music that I made. Problem? :)

Also, 10 minutes of play? Most players should get 20-30 minutes out of Festival and the description of the game states this. Can't really count something against the game when the game tells you that's what it offers.

I ain't even mad. I'm sexy.

What does the "closure" button in the menu do? Finished the game and it's still grey for me, just curious :)

It's a hold over from the default menu used in RPG Maker VX games.

You can change the name of the "Continue" button but you can't remove it without scripting knowledge. And I'm no programmer (although my next project is using RenPy which uses Python).

I chose "Closure" due to it being a word in relation to the story (a word you initially don't have access to within the story).

And it will never work because you can never save in Festival.

I'd have no idea what would be causing that. Googling now. And the solutions are below:

Try restarting the computer.

Try turning your numlock on and off.

tried that and every key on the keyboard, does not work. the character wont even try moving to the left, just wants to keep going right.

Do you have any gamepad software that is running? If so try disabling it or worst case try uninstalling it.

Turn off the computer and then unplug any USB devices (mouse included). Turn on the computer and then plug in everything.

This includes things like headphones.

Desura is going through a lot of restructuring and backlogs of games so no harm, no foul.
