With his boat destroyed, his money gone, and Valerie suddenly missing, Jack now finds himself facing an army of mercenaries amidst the wilds of the island with nothing but a gun and his wits to help him survive. And the further he pushes into the lush jungle canopy, the stranger things become...

Just a patch i'd advise installing before playing the demo, fixed visible and annoying bugs.

Far Cry is definitely a great game. I can say that its a real masterpiece of Crytek which has everything - the best ever seen graphics by that time, interesting and challenging gameplay, and of course its story. Good game until stupid genetic mutant apes attack, then all goes awry and it's barely any fun anymore... rather than tactics and winning against superior number of smart mercenaries, it's just shoot the little buggers before they reach you and kill you in a few hits, which is not so fun...
Someone mentioned battle royale, I really want to see a mod based off of the book and movie.
I agree to that! I would like to see a mod just that mode "battle royale" XD

Sorry gamshobny,
But I think the Far Cry Devs tried to keep all the nerds and general sci fi gamers intrested. lol
Jurassic Park mods pretty much always get hit with a C&D order.
A good game, but what did the developers thought when they introduced trygens? I mean, do games of today have a checklist? That people go like:
Good graphics...check
Nice gameplay....check
Lot of weapons...check
Verhicles...check
Good AI...check
Stupid alien monster that totaly ***** up game....Uhm, scotty, we forgot one little thingy here!
Same happened to HALO (the flood). Too damn bad, this would have been superb without the stupid trygens.
yea a jurrasic park mod isnt that abandoned it would be awsome to have that kind of mod and get back at the dinosaurs for eating people
