Hi Garcy thanks for this cool mod, but i have one problem with it, i have installed your mod on a fresh install farcry , the patch install good, i setting my game and i begin a solo campaign but when i want climb up the first ladder in the little tutorial in the begining, the game stop immediatly and i come back in Windows , i retry twice and same thing, and no error dialog box. i don't know if it's a bug and one thing i setup farcry in french language maybe it's the problem, i will try with the english audio language.

Same thing with the english audio, come back in windows, when i want climb up the first ladder of the game , when i up my head, the game crash.

I downloaded from the Mod DB #2 FCAM install verification failed, but only the second time I went to install FCAM (first Install was removed because I forgot to delete old FCAM files from MOD folder). Trying the main Mirror now.

Maybe Zip the installer to ensure a better transfer?

That sound bug i have never seen of before...Make sure it isnt a driver or DirectX thing.

I will be fixing the problem, just need some time.

Do the enhancements in FCAM 1.5 cause a significant Frame rate drop?

2009_06_09_FCAM.exe from the USA/Texas mirror worked fine on 2nd try.

Mixer has informed me how to avoid the on ladder crash.
I need someone to test if it works fine on a 1.4 version install. Thanks.

The enhancements in FCAM improve FPS! :)

Thanks, i will however update all downloads with a .rar so it will not cause curruption on transfer. Inside the .rar will be the .exe.'

Garcy, i have intalled the cumulative patch 1.4 on farcry and after your patch and the game works fine no crash with the ladder, sorry i believe the fcmod patch have the cumulative patch 1.4 inside, thanks Mix3r and Garcy. Farcry never die.

Has anybody tried this with the Steam version of the game? when I start the game the mod is clearly not starting, it looks just as before (good, but short draw distance), then I tried the FCAM executable and when I click play (Far Cry) it gives me this error:

The system cannot find the file specified (it never says what file it is) and then a very long error showing exception text and other things, tried to post the whole error log here but there's a limit of 2000 characters on the comments so yeah.

Okay, turns out the problem was that even though I told the installer to install to the MAIN Far Cry folder, it still made a separate Far Cry folder where the "mods" folder is, I also never used mods with Far Cry before so I didn't know it was one of those games that already had an entry for mods in the main menu.

So I moved the "mods" folder to the main game folder and deleted the extra (and now empty) Far Cry folder and then the game detected it on the main menu.

I loaded it and tried to load one of my checkpoints, but after completely loading the bar the game froze and there was no way I could close it or minimize it so I had to turn off my computer and restart it.

After that I backed up my checkpoints and checked again this time with a new game, the game loaded but the mod doesn't seem to be loaded at all (yes, I loaded it from the main menu, "mods") since the graphics still look exactly the same, the AI acts the same and the draw distance is still the same...

What am I doing wrong? can anybody help please? I would really appreciate it since I really would like a longer draw distance!

It might still be a folder issue it could also be a Steam issue...

Try launching it from inside the mods folder (there is a "Start FCAM.bat" file of some sort, try that.

Also, its best to have the latest version. It has a 2nd version line that will tell you if you have loaded it properly...
