This simple and reliable pump-action shotgun is a local replica of legendary M37 Ithaca from pre-cosmic era. More than 2000 years old design is still working perfectly in colonists hands (they never leave defensive perimeter without a gun). 12-gauge firepower is not always sufficient against K’Tharsis biggest animals, but it deals perfectly with some criminal scum and aggressive natives.
This gun is being said almost unbreakable. Each malfunction could be fixed with some spare parts from local workshop.
The ammunition is cheap, easy to find and recyclable.
This specific gun is modified by its owner with bayonet, reducing the ammo capacity from 8 to 5. But now you can land a heavy blow to an enemy in hand-to-hand combat, causing deep wounds and instant death.
Additional leather belt with loops for cartridges, attached to the shotgun’s buttstock reduces reload time up to 25%.
