A platformer/shooter with emphasis on exploration, ala the Metroid series. Development began as a test to see what I could do with Game Maker, and expanded from there.
Whoa Whoa WHOA... I was starting to think you died! Overjoyed to see that your alive, much less that the game is even on your to do list. Being an individual developer must be far harder than I thought, and I thought it was pretty hard already. Well, vastly pleased to see this project is still alive. I currently consider this the best indie game i've played, and i've played some pretty good ones (minecraft, vvvvvv, cave story, etc.) It may just be that I'm a Metroid junkie, but I really do love every aspect of the game. The story, the music, the art, the gameplay, all so unique and fitting!
Not dead yet, as far as I can tell! Glad to see you're still following the game even after so much time has passed since the last version. I have a serious problem of stretching myself thin, but lately I've had the urge to work on Ex Vitro and get a new version out. Thanks for the kind words! The funnest parts for me are the graphics and the writing, but I'm terrible at programming and it takes ages for me to do it. I really wish I had come up with some sort of gameplay gimmick to set Ex Vitro apart more, but maybe I'll come up with something cool for Ex Vitro 2! Hope the future versions can live up to your expectations!
"Deep within the depths"? Seems a bit redundant, but good to see an update.
Yeah you're right. How about deep within the bowels? Everyone loves bowels.

Shoot shoot shoot. I accidentally clicked the - button instead of the + button on this and I can't undo it. Apologies.
Posted an update on your project here: Metroidvanias.com
