Multiplayer First Person Shooter
Evolution is a completely new, original IP. It will bring a new, streamlined approach to FPS multiplayer by adding together unique elements to introduce a new method of fighting, interacting, even moving around the world. Our weapons are not run of the mill--they have general functions but every one of them is unique in its own way. Destructable bridges, walls, floors--to give a bit more dynamic approach to every game. Original gametypes. A wire system using 'ropes' used to mix elements in the game. CQB system--putting the soldiers powerful exosuits raw power to use.

Work has been slow this month. Spring break, illness, and personal issues have kept work from getting done at the usual pace, but a few things have been accomplished which I can share with you today. The team has been approached by a sound effect artist this past week. His demo reel was very impressive and I'm expecting the sound to be one of the better parts of the mod. The Evolution Team is still looking for a quadrupedal character/wildlife artist and animator, so if you're interested, drop us a line!
With May 8th quickly approaching, work is being done to finish, to some degree, several aspects of the mod. Namely, this includes the weapon set, bump maps, and sbsps to play in. Of course this isn't a deadline of any kind, since most of the team will not have the editor for a short while after it hits retail, but it's always good to aim for something. With that said, two scenes were whipped up a short while ago to show off two of the most recently 'finished' things. The most notable is the bump map for the player model, and the second is a support gun. They have been rendered into wallpapers and can be found in the mod's download tab once an admin sets them to go live.

That's all I have for right now. Keep an eye on the image gallery for a good bit of updated images later on this week.
