Epsylon - The Guardians of Xendron takes the player on a journey to a futuristic world investigating a very special Science-Fiction setup. With a team of rather different characters the player investigates, and if required fights, his way through a large case. How you solve the case is though up to you. Combine the strength of your team members is important as no team member alone can crack the case alone.

Report RSS Silent but still working

The last couple of weeks had real-life written all over the place not only for me but also for other team members and contributors. Although progress got slowed down due to this we still had been able to come up with some more work. Notable here are the changes and optimizations in the game engine itself.

Notable here are the changes and optimizations in the game engine itself. There is still a long way to go until we reach full playable game speed on medium powered machines but I'm confident we get there. So far frame rates between 15 and 40 (depending on scene load) are possible on ATI Radeon 9600 with 32MB RAM and a 1GHz processor with full lighting and dynamic shadows. Some more optimizations should give this a boost. Besides those optimizations also a change in the game engine is under way to make moding later on much easier and flexible. Once the changes are all in place new in-game screenshots will find their way on our homepage.

On the non-technical front Grogdon, SiegfriedX and I did our job producing some concept arts and 3d models. So far they are mostly unskinned as we are still looking for Skinners to helps us out there. Informations can be found on our Team Page under the Free Jobs section. You can find on our Artwork and Screenshots pages the new artwork and models created as well as under the Dragonworld Galleries where our contributors and team members have their albums containg more work than showed here or on the homepage itself.
