Yet another news post which took ages before hitting the shelves. The reason had been manifold and some of them good while others bad.
The main reason for no word had been the rework of the old Map System into the new Terrain System. This topic explains in more detail what exactly happened there on a technical scale. With the new system the game designer is much more flexible than before allowing way more control over the game world. With the new system in place the work on the engine and the game can finally pick up again after being stalled for nearly 3 entire weeks.
Our little Terrain maker in the team put some more efforts into fiddling with algorithmic terrains but the results are up to now still secret :wink: . Things are though looking promising. With the new terrain system we should be able to have some of his creations up soon.
Unfortunately there are also bad news. Edwin had to jump of the bandwagon due to the lack of time and so we are back to only two people working on the project. This will not stall the project but slow it down. More to come soon.
