"Enola told its story of hope in the darkness with a graceful hand, but one that was still willing to mire itself in the more horrible aspects of its tale. Managing to be both subtle and brutal at points, it has been polarizing for some of the people who played it."

Having some issues since the update..cannot seem to load either of my save points. :( Anyone else having problems? I can get into the save spots when clicking "continue" but then I cannot load them and the "back" button won't allow me to get back to menu. I have to CTRIL+ALT+DEL and close game out of task manager. I've tried this a few times...You can PM if it easier...UGH..Love this game, I'm a die hard Enola fan..always seem to have issues after updates tho! Let me know when you get a second, I still haven't finished game since last update but am loving the changes...eager to play again-Thanks!

I just tried it myself, putting old saves inside the game folder, and I get the same error you get (saves not loading and the "back" button not working).
The thing is that for some reason the one I have installed on my hard drive works fine, but the one I uploaded to desura doesn't? O_o I am thinking maybe I screwed up versions somehow...

Hey there!! I'm liking this game so far.. I started doing a Let's Play on my youtube channel!! I have one question though... and forgive me for sounding lame if the answer is obvious.. but can you save your game?? And if so.. how?? All I get is a message saying any unsaved progress will be lost.. if I return to main menu.. so I am confused!! There ae save slots if I click continue.. but I don't know how to save?? Is it obvious?? Anyway.. I JUST started doing Let's Plays and I'm SUPER excited about it - and am really happy I found your game!! But I kind of want to be able to pause so my playthroughs aren't really long!! Here's the link to my first part on youtube: Youtube.com

Hi and thanks for doing the LP :D
As for your question, yes, you can save. If you hear a weird music box, a save point is nearby. It looks like a box with a photograph of a blond girl lying on a bed.

The video was great! Really liked how you emphasized that it wasn't a jumpscare horror game. Seems like you're getting what we're going after, and that's always good for us. Loved the video too!

First off I'm really digging this game, and I got into the cabin, but when I get to the basement to use some items to progress, after choosing whether or not that guy lives or dies, I get stuck. I do pick up a lever earlier, but it disappears from my inventory, and I'm pretty sure there is a spot to use it in that basement which is the reason I'm stuck.

Anyways though it's really awesome so far and I really want to find out what happens ;)

Here is a link to my part 1 video. Part 2 gets up to after the moving bridge, and then I was filming part 3 when I got stuck, so I didn't upload it.

Thanks a lot for the comments and for posting the video. Watching it now! I was also reading some of the comments, they are very nice.

That lever bug seems to be very elusive! I thought I had fixed it already... but it seems it just won't go away.
There's an update coming soon, so I shall find that bug and kill it for good!

BTW do you remember where the lever disappeared? Maybe that can help me find the bug more easily.

EricVanWilderman Jul 27 2013 replied:

The lever disappears when I select it in my inventory and try to use it on a different place that it doesn't belong. So for example I thought I could use it on that machine in the large main floor room, but I couldn't, and then when I checked my inventory again it was gone yet it hadn't been used in its proper location.

I'm pretty sure that's where I lost it the first time, and on another time through it just randomly disappeared as I'm unsure when.

Thanks. I will carefully go through the level and try to use the lever on different items and see if I make it disappear. I hope I manage to finally fix it this time!
