ENDCIV is a post apocalyptic strategy game with city building elements. The major challenge for the player is to build-up a settlement and defend it against various threats. Some of the resources are directly connected to the environmental simulation such as animal population and weather, dependent on daytime, season, rain and wind.

Development Video-Log

Our YouTube channel has been updated and a playlist has been added which will contain videos about our development progress. Check it out if you haven't already!

Release date and shedule

As the creator of the game I know that the alpha release has been delayed a couple of times. Looking back at it, it isn't even two years ago since we started and I believe that this is a reasonable time for our situation. Now i am very confident that we are able to release the game for Early Access early in 2016.
You guys will be busy with Fallout 4 anyway from November.

Now all our focus is to get on Greenlight and make it a success.

Developer Tools and user generated content

I am happy to announce that we are currently working on developer tools which will both come in handy for our own process but which can also be used by the players later on. We do plan to enable you to generate content for the game! This has two major aspects, on the one hand we are loaded with a lot of work and you can help us to speed things up, on the other hand you simply have more to enjoy!

Examples of how this works you know from the editors of The Sims, Spore or Cities Skylines to name a few. The current prefabs we do plan you to design are environmental lots and will appear at other people’s games. If you already have concerns, we will add filters for you to adjust which of these objects will appear in your game.

So how does that work? You define the size of the lot and its purpose, e.g. residential, commercial or similar and a few other parameters. This data affects where the lot is placed in the game. Then you choose from a variety of empty buildings and place it on the lot. Now you can fill the structure with a variety of objects and add resources and other data to it.
By doing that you help us to add much more variety to the game and this will make the exploration part of the game each time a new challenge.

Thanks for reading.

Oh yes, that was some time ago. Actually I see no benefits having this game to run in a browser - just for the sake of it. Also it currently is a singleplayer game in first stage.

I uploaded current unedited ingame screens of the planet to prove our concept. As I said we work on something different before, but it is based on this earth you see there. We belive this is the best way to get this game done in the quality and independency it deserves.

You guys sound like you came up really interesting concepts and ideas. I can't recall the last time I heard of a game that tried or even pulled this kind of gameplay off. I hope it will be as good as it sounds.
