Eight Days in Convoke is a physics-based arcade game that places you into the cockpit of an alien craft tasked with the abduction of unknowing human. Gently and thoughtfully apply thrust and rotation to your craft to counter gravity and fly through the noire themed levels. Avoid dangers such as military grade AA Missile Launchers, fuel stealing EMP Pylons, solid materials and the ever present threat of finite fuel. Pilot your way through 40 levels across 8 European countries, Abduct humans to progress and repeat levels in ever quicker completion times to unlock bonus stars. Today I want to share some exciting news. Over the next few weeks I will begin to phase out Desura update support for Eight Days in Convoke. You will still have access to the game but all future updates will be done through a client built into ‘Convoke’ itself. The game will be in a place where is constitutes a stable, full release. Beta 3 will ship as the final retail version on Desura for the price of £2.99. The reason I am choosing to move all update systems in-house and remove the need for Desura as far as updates are concerned is so that I can branch out. If I was successfully publish ‘Convoke’ onto 5 sites that would be 5 sites I would have to individually release patches for as they all host their own files. When each website hosts the base Version 1 of ‘Convoke’ then the game can be purchased and played from that site using whatever system they have in place, and then updated through the built-in client, straight form the StormGateMedia server. I hope you all see this as a positive move for the project and please remember I am not removing the game from Desura, only leaving the alpha funding project and hopefully releasing onto several delivery platforms later this year. A release trailer for the last Eight Days in Convoke Desura update will be posted soon, this will also act as the primary launch trailer and will coincide with outside previews and reviews.
