This has been an incredible week for us here at Handyman. We did it!! We got through Greenlight! To say that we were all completely shockedby the announcement is an understatement, it's still just sinking in for the team. Needless to say, we've been busier than ever, but it's anamazing feeling! We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone that voted for Edge of Space and supported us, we owe this all to you. The best is still yet to come, and it's wonderful to see the even more rapidgrowth in the community now!
Our celebrations haven't slowed us down, and we are working hardto complete work on the Rebirth patch and get it out to our players. We will be showing plenty of it on tonight's Livestream, so if youaren't around at 7PM EST, be sure to catch the recording of it! We can honestly say this takes Edge of Space to a whole new level. There is very little we've left untouched, and we are very excited to hear the community's thoughts on what we've done. This is a tiny glimpse of just oneof MANY exciting changes to the game.
As long as we don't blow up the labs, everyone will be exploring the new patch in the next week or two. We know it's been a long wait, but it will be well worth it. We very much appreciate everyone's patience over this last month. It's awesome to have such a supportive community! On the community side of things, we definitely want to encourage everyone to come to the forums and get involved. Come and hang out in the IRC and meet us! We are always happy to see new faces, and answer questions about the game. Stay awesome you guys, and we'll see you next time for the ArkCo Weekly News!

Edge of Space is already a fantastic game, and getting better every day. The amount of progress since Day 1 beta back in June is absolutely staggering, and I can't wait to watch it get even better

Not really impressed by this so far, I think I might stick with starbound when it comes out soon, since the developers are already almost going to release it soon! This game wasn't much of a bang for your buck and wish I didn't spend the money.

I truly enjoy playing this game and seeing it grow... You are doing great and have my support always.
Thank you:)
Another problem.. So I bought the game and joined a server everything was good then got sent back to the start menu without any warning or message, joined back and instantly got "kicked" again...
Did I do something wrong? Lol.
Can you stop by IRC? we'd be more than happy to help figure out what's going on. :)
I was thinkign of purchasing this game tonight and looked on to youtube for gameplay videos and it seems VERY interesting (I am also a fan of Terraria and other Sandbox Genre games)
BUT nowhere did I see a multiplayer gameplay segment but I read that there is in fact multiplayer.
How does multiplayer work and is it easy to use/connect to?
And what is up with the login and all that?
Thanks!
The login allows us to manage things like Kickstarter rewards, as well as track critical game data during beta. There IS going to be an offline/LAN mode that will not require being online. Multiplayer is the heart of the game, and it's built for it from the ground up. It's peer to peer hosted just like Minecraft.
Okay so I created an accoutn on the forum but once I purchase the game it will ask me for that user, password and my Desura key?
Also multiplayer is IP hosted like Terraria right?
You'll need to go to Arkdrop.com, create an account, and use your key there. Our launcher actually runs and updates independently of anything else. And yep, you connect to someone else's ip. We have a couple servers springing up in the community as well, and I fully expect we'll get more over time :)
Just logged into Arkdrop and it says "Enter CD Key" so I'm assuming once I enter it I can
log into Edge of Space with that account? Thanks for all the help, much appreciated! :)
Yep, that's about all there is to it! And no problem, we are here to help. If you have any issues just let me know :)
Ignore my comments of frustration, the game is still in BETA afterall and the devs are very nice about helping out!
