Hello everyone!
Things are going rather swimmingly over here in development land. We're working on getting the Paladin and Battle-Mage to attack so that they can be playable. We're looking into getting music and sound effects into the game. We have the framework for the health potions down, and how they might drop from slain enemies. However, most of this stuff is buggy, and some of it crashes the game.
For example, for our Paladin attack method, Eclipse throws a NullPointerException when trying to attack an enemy because the Paladin cannot find an enemy reference to which to deal damage (dark ranger = null). Somehow this needs to be remedied, and we think we can fix in within the next couple weeks, or sooner.
All of this aside, we're trying to come up with new content and things for Adventure Mode to keep the game interesting instead of killing stuff. One of those things is having unlockable classes for completing specific areas. For completing the snowy/ice area, players would (potentially) be able to play the Thaumaturge class (who would move to Broken Shield Castle after completing it):
This is just concept art. There's nothing set in stone about this yet!
We have a few other class ideas that could be unlocked when certain maps are completed:
- Knight (tank-like)
- Pyromancer (heavy fire attacks)
- Necromancer (controls fallen enemies)
- Wanderer (quick weak rapier attacks and off-hand bow)
- Captain (strong sword attacks but low defense)
