Dungeon Tactics version 1.2 is out now!
This release continues our focus on improving usability and includes several features designed to streamline gameplay. There is now a support menu with a few requested general tasks, including a unit list, end turn button, and exit game button. You can access the support menu in-game via right mouse click. Sound effects, theme music, and corresponding volume control options have been added in this release as well, along with several minor bugfixes and graphical corrections.
Dungeon Tactics 1.2 also introduces a new game mechanic that grants an attack bonus against outnumbered mobs. For every friendly mob adjacent to the target, the attacker will receive +1 bonus attack dice. This means that in crowded rooms and hallways, more attacks will hit, and more hits will crit for double damage. The effect of this change is that combat between three or more mobs is more deadly, and thus much faster. Overall this quickens the pace of encounters and places greater emphasis on tactical play as mob positioning is now far more important.
