Dungeon Prospector is an old-school dungeon crawler/roguelike. You're in infinity dungeons (in length and width) full of monsters and treasures. How far can you go and how long can you survive?

To all linux users, note: unity3d is optimized for ubuntu, so it may not work on your distribution. There have already been issues with Debian and Xubuntu. So I recommend you try compatibility with the demo first.

Game features:

- Dungeon generation (Castle and cave theme).
- Over 35 items (food/potions/weapons/armor).
- 5 monsters.
- 2 Bosses.
- Rest (similar to hunger).
- Leveling.
- Permadeath.
- Crafting.

Hello and merry soon-ish christmas everybody.

Here I deliver another update to Dungeon Prospector and it's changelog is:

Added 'x' button to chest window.Added worm egg which spawns small worms when you get close.Added 3 items.Added 2 combinations.Added gem's bonuses can now be stacked via combining. Infinitely. Changed stairs block a bit, so it would align better with cave themed blocks.Changed how themes change with depth: 0-10 dungeon, 11-20 cave, 21-inf dungeon/cave odd/even.Fixed boss health bars not displaying correctly.Fixed slimes of Slime King no longer stuck or spawn inside him.Fixed stairs block would not delete itself after player got far away from it (blinking of walls / z-fighting).Fixed dagger no longer reroll it's additional stats, when enhanced via crafting.

Update should come online soon.

Also the game is discounted for a week, until 29 December.

This is most likely the last update for Dungeon Prospector as it's been more than two years of development and its time to move on :)

Thank you to everyone who supported us over that time.

*going through desura pages* Turns out descriptions of indieDB and Desura not linked together, well that was unexpected. Updated them to the ones on indieDB just now. Also the game is still listed in Alpha-funding category of Desura however it's not in alpha stage for more than a half a year now, that should be sorted out soon too.

I used to check this page many times every month for an update. Now we get an update once a month at best. The game is coming a long great and I am sure your a busy man, but I was wondering when we can expect another update. I love coming on here and seeing an update to this game.

I release update when I have more stuff done for game. There already rats, some basic mechanic of forges. And I also want hall of fame and new type of dungeon before releasing update :D

I hope to release it before the end of the month, but probably it'll take more time.

I think that falling multiple floors is a pretty cool bug, maybe that could be implimented into a trap floor or something?

On floor 6, I found a doorway that led to a BLACK room. I walked in slowly, then FELL. Not like down into a new room, no I fell OUT OF THE MAP. I started slowly falling NEXT to the map, watching the floors drift past me. I drifted onto a floor and then all the monstgers that had FOLLOWED me off the map drifted in and started attacking :) I killed them, barely, then drifted back out and started falling past the map, followed by L-O-T-S of falling, drifting monsters. They finally killed me, as they got tougher with every floor I fell slowly past. It was... amusing.

The numbers after the Skills (Vitality etc) aren't showing up for me. There is a plus sign next to each one i can click after I level up but no number shows how much I have in each skill.

I'm reviewing the game as it stands now. If it gets better I will upgrade my score. Issues: 1 When you go into options then back out it resets the size of your screen to small whether you are windowed or not. 2 The option to set controls does not work and the controls are not mentioned anywhere. For other people: **E** is take web or open chest. When you look at a slime/blob on the floor you get a dotted line at the top of it horizontally. 3 Personal preference but I prefer retro chunky pixel games…
