This highly anticipated sequel to Duke Nukem 3d will have Duke, as you might expect, facing off against aliens again. This time around much of the action will take place in Las Vegas, where Duke can interact with a number of different allies and friends.

UPDATED WITH TRAILER

It's time we all take a moment here to take a deep breathe, because tomorrow we will be facing a small taste of the very long awaited Duke Nukem Forever, which will be released in the afternoon, central time. George Broussard posted information on 3D Realm's forum which can be located here.

"Last Saturday we had our annual company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun as usual but it featured one special surprise. It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever.

After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming.

Tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, around noon CST, we will release the first teaser trailer from Duke Nukem Forever. To tide you over until then, here is a screen shot taken from the teaser."

In preparation for the release, Broussard also posted a screenshot from the teaser and promises future media over time.

I think it's time to go pump some iron and chew some bubble gum.

They are using the Unreal 2 Engine. Of course, like bioshock, heavily modified, with better shaders, physics, and such.

Originally, they were using the Unreal 2.5 engine, but by 2006, they had switched over Epic's current proprietary engine.

What!? Bioshock use Unreal Engine 3, like Gears of War or Tom Clancy's Raimbow Six Vegas.

This new trailer works surely under Unreal Engine 3 also.

thought so 2, but still unreal engine 1 is related to this game...
But they can also (i dont think so, but it can be true!) upgrade unreal engine extremly under this years, so it's really powerful today...

Its related to it due to, at one point that was one of the engines that was supposedly going to be used. But remember, this "game" has seen a lot of engine changes.

We might see this on the Unreal Engine #39 :P ( If it ever gets made, on both counts lol )

Look that is not the Unreal engine 1. It's either the id tech 4 (doom 3) engine or Unreal engine 3.

.. and that screenshot has been proven to be a fake. Hes done that before and I find it funny how what he says still holds credibility when he dose this sort of thing as often as he has.
