..It still kicks ass! I Personally use and recommend the "duke3d_w32" port, more commonly as the "Rancidmeat's Duke3D Port" for WinXP users. Propably because of it's good network play possibilities. Check it out: Rancidmeat.com

The HRP website is where you can download the most recent version of the HRP. The 3D Realms forums is where peopole show off their models and hi-res textures for constructive crutisism.
Best game ever. Period.
I've had this game for while now, and it still beats a ton of other games. For those who don't know, there is a hi-res graphic improvement which upgrades all the textures in the game to hi-res modern day graohics. There is also a 3D modeling project which converts all the sprites in the game to 3D models (Yes, the enemies too). So If you don't have this game, GET IT. You can get the hi-res or models for the game from the 3D Realms forums, Duke 3D source code topic. Enjoy. Yes it would work on XP Pro just download JonoF's Windows port.
