Dragon Age is coming out soon, and Bioware sets up to release a beta for the modding tool kit.

Bioware's upcoming spiritual sequel to Baldur’s gate may be a while off yet, but as of today you can sign up to get your hands on a beta copy of the Dragon Age: Origins Toolset. All you need to do is create a Bioware user account and then sign up for the beta. The required form you need to fill out has all the normal questions and technical requirements like DXDiag output and your current amount of modding experience. Nothing too difficult right?

Bioware wrote: We are taking applications now from Community members who want to participate in this closed-beta test of the Dragon Age: Origins Toolset, an opportunity to help temper the Dragon Age Toolset into something that may be used for years to come by a vast and thriving community. We are looking for a wide range of computer systems, testing experience and a variety of technical areas of expertise. No experience with toolsets? No problem. We are looking for all types of users.

I've always been a massive fan of CRPG's so this is something I'm going to be looking into. So look out for some updates in the near future.

We are really trying to help these modders get on the site. So if you can help us achieve that, let us know. Would be great to spread the word and let modders of NVN, Baulder, DA etc know about ModDB.

To give the devs feedback before it comes out and to get people familiar with the tools so they can jump right in when it does.

Wow its great to see this kind of support before the game even comes out :)

Hopefully there were be a ton of mods for the game which will encourage me to get the game. The game doesn't look like my style but with good mod support I'm all over it.

It's great to see a company encouraging the mod community so early in development like this. I love Bioware.
