As the title of this blog entry suggests, it’s finally time to announce the official name for the 4th episode of Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh.

The Story

Many doubts and hypotheses may arise regarding the name of the fourth episode of Doorways. The story of the series will finally end and this new episode will introduce new characters, settings and situations.

This time, Thomas Foster, our main character, will visit El Chacal, a small and remote village in the mountainous region of Salta, Argentina. This village has been surrounded by many legends involving cannibalism, black magic, sects and all kinds of superstitions.

Your job will be to hunt down a whole family of lunatics, led by Juan Torres, better-known as “El Asador”.

Improved features

As you can judge from the screenshots below, this new episode in the series has better graphics than previous ones.

We’re developing in Unity 5 to make use of PBR technology (physically-based rendering) which, together with the work of a small but extraordinary team of graphic artists, allows the creation of realistic and detailed environments.

And as you can see in the following in-game screenshots, we are also including a variety of open-world locations to which we have devoted a lot of dedication to enhance the atmosphere.

As mentioned once, our development team is much more integrated and skill-specialized. That is why part of the gameplay and scripting will also be widely improved

The Team

Octavio Ostera has joined our team, a talented 3D artist who is working on character and item modelling.

We also have the assistance of Pablo Forsolloza, an extraordinary and experienced graphic artist. He is now devoted to creating the mood of each level, adding particle effects and lighting and working on the background, among other things. All of these will breathe life into the environments of the new episode.

Finally, Florencia “Lunátika” Orsetti has also joined the team as PR. She’s helping to spread the word about our work on social networks.
