Have you ever, wanted to play and or relive the action of Doom 2 Multiplayer? but in full 3d, instead of fake inclined 2d surfaces that appear to the human eye as 3d? Well now it's here! or in development I should say' We are bringing back Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture The Flag' With this in mind we will guarantee to bring back the classic enjoyment and restore the former glory of future Deathmatch's' Anyone who loves fast paced action and or loved the Multiplayer in Doom and Doom 2 will surely love this title' This game uses and utilizes the Sauerbraten Engine (www'sauerbraten'org)

Hey guys, Sorry to disappoint you guys by not updating etc. Work has gotten in the way so on so forth. How ever we have some bad news, no the game did not die or go mia. We're still developing and working on the product. How ever we have decided to take a while, and go back and revamp the engine. This will help produce a better final product. I hope you guys understand and You'll be sure to hopefully see some new screen shots soon!

I can't wait, this is going to be awesome. One question though, I'm not complaining, but aren't those crate textures from Quake 2? Like Dark_Raver9 said?
It'll be nice to play a game where there are teams, meaning you have allies. I couldn't play Doom 1 or 2 too much at a time because I would just get a feeling like 'damn, do I have to kill everything I see? Isn't at least something on my side?" But nope.

Why dont you use the Doom 3 engine? Your not going to get copyright infrigments anyway becasue 1. its a fan game and 2. the original dooms are already free

Altrough there are many multiplayer ports for DooM such as Skulltag or Zdaemon. This standalone-game might truely bring back the old doom to mordern players.

If you need any help from DooM coders and modelers check the NewDoom forum's.

The concept is great and Sauerbarten is a great engine, but cmon, you guys can add a little more detail to those models :p. That marine render seems really poor. Sauberbarten supports even .md3 format which is one less excuse to not pump a little more detail in those models :p

The maps are fine though, keep up the good work.
