Description

6th Venom's Doom3 HQ mainmenu for id Software Doom 3 (1.3 minimum) Pack release 1.00 (17/03/2008)

ABOUT:
This Pack is my attempt to update the Doom 3 mainmenu (gui) to something more 2008-ish.
Everything is now unblurred, add new options, new mp skin chooser with a rotating player, and a lot more.
This Pack don't contains any Game dll, only custom assets, so it's fully compatible with virtually any mod that didn't changed the mainmenu.
I included as a bonus an IconLibrary (dll) who contains various windows icons i use for recognize D3 assets.

Give it a try, you'll keep it. ;)

yea I am not sure why they removed that music file from the title screen, I too have this problem but I think that was the plan here, I don't think it's a bug.

Glad I found this, excellent work. Far beyond just a graphical update, adds a lot of useful choices to the menu as well. Especially like the way resolution/video options are applied, and the built in benchmark button is very handy for checking new settings. I couldn't go back to the original after using this, thank you very much.

This is a really bad file. The save game screen overlay will remain in the options screen so you can no longer view options once you bring up the save menu. Second, once you remove the file, the game returns to default settings and will not save changes when you restart. Third, you can not save over your old save files, you need to make a new one.
Be careful here, if you use this once, you better get used to it because it will mess up your game when you remove it.

Edit:
Ok so I have played with this file some more, (since I have too because the game messes up if you remove it) and found that you can remove the overlay by clicking the same button over again instead of the usual process where you can click a different button and the overlay will change. You basically need to open and close it now.
The save file problem remains; every time I want to save a new file I can no longer save over my old file, I need to make a new save file. That's a step back in functionality. I will attempt a quicksave and see if that helps me.
