The Old God has left the world and the pretenders are awakening and coming out from hiding. You start the game by designing one of the pretender gods that will compete for true ascension to godhood. The type of god can range from a magically powerful arch mage to an ancient kraken or a mystic monolith that people pray to. Your pretender controls one of over sixty different nations and with the help of that nation he will spread his word and battle the other pretenders. Dominions 3 is a turn based strategy game. You can play single- or multiplayer (1 - 23 players) with simultaneous turns. There are more than 1500 different units, 600 spells and 300 magic items in the game. The game also features a medieval musical score by Erik Ask Uppmark and Anna Rynefors, both awarded the title of Musicians of the Realm by the Swedish Zornmärkeskommiten. Dominions 3 is a highly detailed game and a 300 page pdf manual is included in the download.

THE STRATEGY INDEX
The links in this thread are colour coded to indicate whether or not they are external, and by association, the likely quality of the information contained in that link. I hope to eventually have all the links linking to threads on this forum, but for now there will be far more external links than internal ones. I hope not to link to any misinformation, but there is a big difference between a post that is accurate and genuinely helpful, and a post that is not misinformation, but which doesn't actually contain that much helpful info either. (eventually I will likely phase out the colour coded system for the strategy index, but it'll be in place for some time as it is also going to act as my to-do list for what entries still haven't got internal links) Also note that a lot of the entries won't have any links for quite a while, as they are entries I've put in myself as I'm going along based on typical questions that might get asked about the topic at hand. With the idea being that as I go through old Shrapnel posts, I will either find threads that are relevant that I can link to for the answer, or I'll create a new thread here with cherry picked stuff from old threads, or I'll create a new thread here from scratch to answer the question. Edit - And also note that this index will be a lot more condensed when it's finished than it is now, I'm just listing and indexing things as I go along right now (without any thought to keeping the size down). But a lot of the questions will either get merged, or I will create a mini-thread or post to cover everything. eg. All the stuff about Thugs and SC's might get put in a separate thread or post, and then all the various questions and links will be put in that mini-thread/post (to avoid them cluttering p this root index) Cyan indicates a useful post on this website ------------------ New Players

I will attempt #2 now then by deleting your last post. Edit - Damn. If I'm logged in then I see no change apart from there being an "Un-delete" option for your post. If I log out then I see a rather ugly..." This post has been deleted." ... message with a greyed out post. And a bunch of those littering threads isn't exactly going to be desirable Oh well, back to plan A. (I have un-deleted your post now) Edit 2 - Do you have any "super delete" options at all? Like you did in the comments section? Edited by: Calahan. |

No super deletion here, at least on a cursory look. I'll need to check into it more closely. However, I think we now have enough posts here to count for all possible indexing needs, so we can take the rest of this conversation to the moderator forum. Calahan Edit - Agreed. No more posts needed now, as I have plenty of room to work with Edited by: Calahan. |
