A real time tactics game, concentrating on the combat elements of space battles. Or, when looking from a different perspective, a shoot-em-up with several units to handle. New ships come with new abilities, allowing the player to change his play-style during the game. With time there will be – incremental AI difficulty, fully randomized maps and bonuses and even more ships to choose from.

Description

Sorry for the long time since the last release. This update comes with a lot of upgrades, the main one being the gameplay revision. Now the game is based more on the tactical aspects, and using terrain (static objects on the map). To play, extract the folder and open Distant Home Star inside. Post some feedback if you can, anything helps. Also, if you have some ideas for ships, level designs or other objects please send them to me, I will try to implement them. Still looking for an artist. If you want something to add to your CV do mail me. Actual skill is not needed, as long as you enjoy working on games.

Thanks. The worst part about being an upstart developer is that you can't really know if the game you are working on is actually not crap. Encouragement like this works miracles.
