Tools needed:
D2Modder (if you use this tool you wont need the two below)
MPQView v1.1 or other tool to extract the txt files from the mpq files.
D2excel or other spreadsheet program.
Files to edit: Armor.txt, Misc.txt or weapons.txt

This tutorial wont tell you how to make the items, we start from the point where you have your item inventory graphics in dc6 format. If you don?t have the graphics you can find several item packs in the Phrozen Keeps filecenter
Step1
Extract the txt file, armor.txt if the item is an armor., misc.txt if the item is misc weapons.txt if the item is a weapon.

Step2
Rename the dc6 image to whatever you want.

Step3
Copy the dc6 image to data\global\items\

Step4
Open armor.txt, misc.txt or weapons.txt (depending on what kind of item your adding). scroll to the flippyfile and invfile columns, flippyfile is for the item on ground and invfile is for the item in inventory. Put the same name in invfile column as you put on the dc6 file. Save and put the txt file in the proper folder data\global\excel then run the game in -direct -txt and you have your new item graphic.

I've Downloaded all the tools neccesary for this , however I have no Idea which file is the Item I want to change the Graphics on =P.
One in particular is this awesome crown I just aquired (I hate the way crowns look on paladins) I would rather it have the great helm , or Bone helm graphics =). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks =)
