The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly, killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control. No one believes they exist. No one but you.

About Deus Ex: Revision with 13 comments by Jerion on Jul 18th, 2014

Hello all!

Welcome to our July update.

Over the last two months, we've been steadily working away without too much to talk about. People have come and gone from vacations, and development continues. We've been getting a fair amount of feedback from our playtesters, and are working to solve the bugs and issues that they have reported. We've also been getting feedback on the soundtrack, and while the response has been broadly positive, there have been some valid concerns about a few specific tracks, and we have been addressing those as well.

For those of you who are interested, we've moved to an online bug-tracking service; if you'd like to take a look at the issues we're working to solve and get a sense of what we're doing behind the scenes, check it out here: Bugs.launchpad.net. It is updated regularly and shows the issues we are encountering and fixing, as we encounter and fix them.

In recent weeks we've also been running a pair of articles on the Eidos Montréal community blog. These two articles serve as a general introduction to Revision, and go into some depth on the process of creating the new soundtrack. We have a third article planned, so keep an eye out for it in the coming weeks. Our thanks go out to Sacha R. and John T. at Eidos Montréal for being kind enough to make this happen.

The Creation of Revision

The Music of Revision

We have a couple more things to share with you this month:

First, a look at our Area 51 overhaul, which (on the surface, at least) takes a few cues from Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Panchaea location.

Area 51 Surface

Second, we have our Battery Park exploration music:

That about covers everything for the moment. Enjoy!

simply any rpg game gives you choices, but normally none that matter, like final fantasy, the game always seems to end up the same no matter how differnetly you do things

the only game ive ever played that gives you a true experience of good and evil is Star Wars Knights of the old Republic 1 and 2

and if you want the best example of this, there is also Bethesda's Elder Scrolls series of games, ive been watching the 4th one like a hawk and its looking good!

Deus Ex was so deep and full of twists, one could get lost just going straight through. Invisble war, was so shallow on could not even dig into the topsoil...

But wait! thats not all! once your FINALLY done taking every path and choosing every option and have seen all four endings to the extensive single-player campaign, there is still multiplayer, which is better still!
(Especially with those rifles in GODZSERVER that everyone keeps calling n00b rifles) You just wont understand the glory of multiplayer untill you kill an aimbotter with a 20mm HE shell and hear him spam that your a "n00b" all the rest of the game. Not the brightest community playing online in Deus Ex right now but its still fun :D. Thus ends my rant...

~~~Holobalobalo, The Request~~~
(Read The Request now... go on... read it... whatcha waiting for?...cmon...)
(No really, read it)
(PS: The Request is a mini story i made at my school in free time, it can NOT be found in your local library)
This is my 4th fav game so far next to:
1: Half-Life 2
2: Half-Life
3: Mount & Blade
The single-player game is HUGE, i mean play through it in god mode, noclip to the end of the levels right away and it would still take you over a day to beat huge... Yea, that huge. And all the choices in gameplay are great. The editor is the 2nd easiest editor to learn and use (Next to Hammer-Source, btw Hammer-Source is curiously similar to the Doom 3 editor... hmm) in my opinion.
