Deus Ex is the latest title from Warren Spector, the creator of Ultima Underworld and System Shock. The world is in chaos. Terrorists roam the streets. The reemergence of an ancient secret society bent on world domination. Playing as rookie UNATCO agent J.C. Denton, you will use your nanotech-enhanced body and mind to fight the enemy in this Unreal engine-based action/RPG hybrid. Denton improves his skills, receives additional bionic enhancements and plays with many sorts of equipment as the game develops. The intriguing story takes you from New York to Hong Kong, from Paris to secret labs, for over seventy hours of exploration.

Damn, second time I've mistaken this for the Tribes 2 mod :)
But I think I may get Deus Ex now, It sounds like a great game, and it does seem to have good mods.
Jesus Christ man. Having never played Deus Ex is like never playing any mario game. Do you normally neglect to play greatest games of all time that shaped the direction of FPS's and RPG's and opened doors of thinking for game designers everywhere?
There's still games that will never do what deus ex has done, and I cry about that sometimes. I cry harder when I think another year has passed and the graphics are even older. Why did games die after deus ex came out? (I exaggerate profoundly, but seriously, go beat this game. greatest story in a game ever.)

Deus Ex was, is, and always will be THE BEST game for PC platform...
Well, Deus Ex and it's ancestor of a sort, the famous "thinking man's" DOOM System Shock (both System Shock 1 and System Shock 2)...
I Hope those guys from Eidos Montreal, will do Deus Ex justice, and create a worthy sequel...

I feel like a dolt, because even earlier this year when I so selfishly used this mod's space to promote deus ex, I had no idea about this mod.
I've been modding DX off-and-on on the side since it came out, but never got into the scene very much. Now after looking around a little bit, this mod looks like either THE BEST or ONE of the best mods for deus ex to date. And look its the latter half of 2008 and yukichigai STILL gives a shit.
The only thing that stops me from being head over heels for this mod is thehe fact that it's not standardized. Oh well. This mod is still good enough to deem the original build of Deus Ex "broken.
good work on fixing the "lock pick and multi tool pause game" exploit, as well as the Pistol Downgrade trick.
another honorable mention is fixing up the Game Of The Year edition glitches. as a proud owner of the GOTY version i'm very happy to see these the glitches fixed.
I'm referring to the Buddha statute in the glass case in maggie chows apartment that doesn't move. and the missing music in Hell's Kitchen the last time you make it back.
apart from those good fixes I'm a bit unhappy about the skill point deductions for killing friendlies, which makes no sense. As well as lack of inventory system when picking things up off corpses, this game badly needs it, none of this automatically picking things up from corpses. Make this your next objective for the next version.
PS - I hate those annoying cats, when i step on one it turns into a enemy. so when i step on them again and they die I get skill points for it??? what in gods name?
The Pistol Downgrade fix completely ruined the walkthrough I use and the lockpicking glitch fix made it even harder.
