In Defenders of Delphi, you embark upon the historical event of Gauls’ campaign against ancient Greece. In 279 BC the Gallic warlord Brennus, who had already entered the Balkan peninsula in 280, amassed a huge army – according to the historian Pausanias 152.000 infantry and 61.200 cavalry, for a total of 213.200 – and marched against Greece. His goal was to plunder anything he could while making his way to the greatest prize of all – the Sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi, one of the richest places in Greece. The temple was showered with presents from the Greek city-states and even foreign kings paid their tribute to the home of Apollo. Pythia’s oracles played a prominent part in the Persian War, when the Athenean general Themistocles put into motion a scheme conceived in accordance with Pythia’s oracles, which caused the Persian army’s downfall at the naval battle of Salamis.

With the advent of the Gauls, Greece faced the greatest foreign threat since the time of the Persian invasion of Xerxes in 480 BC. However, like the Persian king before him, Brennus had first to overcome the strength and courage of the Greek army and the cunning of its generals, not to mention the wrath of the god whose home he aimed to defile…

The game is available on Google Play Store and Amazon Store for Android devices (Android 4.0+) and soon it will be available for Windows Phone 8.1 Phone and Windows 10 Universal.
