Just a question : The radar system remind me alot of the Homeworld one, but does the game will work only in the X/Y angle or X/Y/Z ?

I believe the question has be already asked & answered already, and I also recall the answer was, the game will work on the full X/Y/Z axis, it's just the Dev's haven't haven't demonstrated it yet, not the easiest feature to show off unless you consider posting lots of pictures or a video...

It's not really a radar system, it's just zooming out a lot and replacing units with icons, aka tactical zoom.
In regards to real 3d map, you can check out this video: Youtube.com
You can move units up and down as you like as well as build above or below the base grid. The grid is there to help the player orient himsel and it simplifies navigation. You can turn it off if you like.

Depending on how the resources or artefacts are scattered in a sector, the player will be required to leave the grid, so the 3d maps become actually meaningful.

Looks as though it's coming along nicely, my only criticism is the choice of the music that was used for the video :)

This actually is Hungarian folk music :) It's called Malka moma and is sung by Neli Andreeva.
I definitely chose the song because I associate it with a feeling of solitude, a vastness and also a hint of positivity. I'm glad you feel similar!

I didn't get a note about your reply, that's why I didn't answere earlier, I'm sorry.

Description

Camera rotations, zooming and panning as well as focusing are all smooth now. The last part is just meant to show of the scale differences by superimposing a transporter(corvette) against the cruisers and colony station.
