Born in the land of the rising sun, Croixleur is a frenetic hack & slash arcade action game from indie developer souvenir circ. Assume the role of Lucrezia Visconti as she battles her way through floors of brutal monsters while you work to keep the combo counter rising. With three play modes (Story, Score Attack and Survival), ten weapons to collect, each with its own special move, and 20 in-game achievements, this is the quintessential indie action game in 2013.

Beast Boxing Turbo

Available for PC and Mac, DRM-free via Desura
Featured in True PC Gaming's ‘Best of 2012’ and described by Rock, Paper, Shotgun as “pleasantly unhinged", Beast Boxing Turbo casts players as a human boxer trying to hide her true species as she fights her way through the animal boxing leagues of Beasthalla. To succeed you’ll need to develop a boxing rhythm, switching between attack and defence, before training your fighter up in key skills and equipping one of 35 different pieces of equipment to even the odds. Beat the Ultra League’s grand champion to unlock NewGame Plus mode for even tougher round of pixel pugilism.
BONUS: Bundle includes four tracks from the game’s original soundtrack and some exclusive artwork

Dawnstar is best described as a modern day Space Sim/RPG. Fear, desperation, and organized crime dominate the lawless galaxy sector of Dawnstar, over whose control mafia factions struggle. Create a unique hero in Battlepaths, a 2D Rogue-like RPG that boasts over 25 hours of gameplay as you hunt the Chaos Overlord. Through deep customisation you can choose to play as anything from a heavy, damage-dealing tank character to a deadly ninja that utilizes high speed and agility to attack his victims from out of nowhere. A sophisticated drop system generates innumerable items that can be equipped, while the nuanced combat system allows you to summon creatures to fight by your side as you dash through three distinct realms in search of your ultimate foe.

This game is a simple platformer with puzzle and action elements. You play as an astronaut, forced to land in a strange alien planet. Low on fuel, now you need to find some way to get an alien power core and avenge your planet, defeating your arch enemy, Grigori. The main game mechanic is the clever use of a teleportation device, to move around the levels.

With melee and ranged combat, 16 abilities to acquire, seven hulking bosses, multiple endings and a self-upgradeable companion chest which must be fed treasure to keep it happy, Diehard Dungeon is endlessly re-playable and the perfect way to round off the Debut 2 Bundle.

Making enemy ships capable of being shot anywhere on the hull? that's a priority, i don't like shooting right dead center "through" a ship to some generic invisible target. More ships based on roles, trading, scavenging, scouting. Random systems with places to mine, or startup your own temporary base, or a mission to protect a base in a random event.

Highest priority, removing the "all enemies attack you from 10000parsecs away" who wants to get swarmed when enemies fire missiles almost none stop.

In 1.055 I'll be tweaking how bullets interact with enemies some, it should make enemies a tad easier to hit.

1.05 should fix Neutral ships automatically becoming Aggressive. There was a bug where Neutral ships would get damaged by various reasons and then turn Aggressive.

Edit: Oh sorry, 1.05 isn't out yet, it's awaiting authorization, but 1.05 deals with Neutral ships.

But no future plans to make enemies only attack if you get closer to where they are in a system? like that system you goto from that whirling vortex ^.^

Oh, the issue you're having is with the Random Generated Levels and not Neutral ships? I'll take a look. They should have an aggro range there. Releasing a new update sometime today so will take a look at it beforehand.

Fluffeh Feb 4 2013 replied:

Nonono it's not an issue ^.^ it's built into your game, it's made so that we have to shoot dead center of a ship no matter how it's facing, and no matter how many enemy ships there are they will all come for you at any distance.
Apart from the missions because you have those allies with you, which kind of evens out the issue, but if you had no allies all enemies in missions would come at you no matter where you are. I'm only saying it because enemies don't run out of missiles you know? ^.^

Oh, yeah. In Random Levels (the ????) where you're all by yourself they are supposed to be extra hard, but the entire level shouldn't attack you at once. They should only attack you within X distance, so it looks like that might not be working properly, and looking into it today. I'll do a few other tweaks to those levels, too.

It's the same everywhere i see any enemies though, if i have no allies, they'll see me further than 20k away, or further.

I am glad you fixed the neutral ships attacking at random, it was weird that barges suddenly decided to turn around and attack me just because i fired randomly into space and not hit anything :)

Played it at a friend's place, he just bought it off Gamersgate. Frankly, I'm not impressed. Sound glitches, no save button, no way to check controls ingame, laggy performace even on a 660ti with a Hexacore processor. Unacceptable. There are also NO TRANSITION SCREENS, this is absurd. When you fly into a jumpgate in a game like X you're treated to a nice little fade out then the game loads, then you pop out on the other end. Here, no, the game LOCKS UP, flickers to a loading screen then dumps you…
