Ultimate Apocalypse Patch - 1.62.62 Has Been Released!!!

The mod link is within that thread after you click the link, "Download the Ultimate Apocalypse Mods!" The MOD DB download is still pending, we have huge amounts of difficulties getting it up online.

Update from 5/3/12

Version 1.62.62 is done and ready for release. I am unfortunately having upload problems atm, and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. Patience is required and please do not form riots. Ha ha ha, thank you very much. Seriously, don't form riots. No joke.

Update from 4/26/12

Opinions are needed for the upcoming stages of 1.62.62. Any last suggestions, additions, bug fixes... please be quick, the final stages are in and will be out maybe next week. :)  What the changes include currently?

- Three new units added in mod.
- Some balance changes.
- All commander wargear revamped to better play style.
- New wincondition added, (restrict air units)
- Some winconditions that causes scar errors in the beginning are stripped and cleaned.
- New maps!
- I hopefully might finish the total revamp of the Chaos Overlord. Depending if I get new icons in time.- Sneak peak movie of the Grand Release. (Maybe, maybe not, convince me.)

So please do read this and make your final wants/needs please for 1.62.62!Also, in other news, we have a texturer for the Warlord Titan! Yay! That is all. :)

Excellent! Great! Thanks everybody for your feedback, ideas, criticism, and wants/needs. I certainly think that all of your lists (except for selected couple) could very well be implemented in 1.62.62. Some already are.

So yes, many-many DP mod stuff. It will be done! Permission first, then DP additions next. I'll be avoiding the illegal content entirely.

Welcome new member SoulsForSlaanesh! Thanks for following the mod for quite a while now.

On a side note, please do pardon my absence in not responding to your questions directly. I usually do this later for when I'm all done releasing the next patch. Busy-busy, lots of bugs to catch up on.

Release should definitely be done less than next week. :)

Any last requests to be added in for 1.62.62 must be done so before May 1st 2012 so my scheduled release is not delayed. You have been warned!

As i play, I'm noticing that what irks me about DOW is 40k really doesn't fit rts -

the campaign is excellent except that the story batlles, each races assault, as soon as i stabilize that first wave, i can effectivley build infinitely and never lose. a little disappoionting.

isn't that the point of a campaign?

so i was thinking -
perhaps for my own scenarios at least:

does anyone know how to:

make the squad cap use for ALL units not just CURRENT units (i.e., deaths count)
not only would this avoid endless games
but factions like Chaos and Necrons that are supposee to be frightening BECAUSE they can draw on effectively unlimited reinforcements (in the case of the necrons, i mean in that scenario)- should not share that ability with EVERYONE - which they currently do.

secondly,
is there a way to make strategic points give a 1-TIME bonus to requisition?

i also wish that campaigns kept research -like the old homeworld game- persistent

or perhaps made it a reward for missions -
but that is a whole 'nother ball of wax.

answers, anyone? at least where-to-get-starteds?

What are you talking about? I seriously doubt you know what youre talking about, because the whole point of having CD keys is for security reasons, to stop people lending the game out or to stop piracy, thats why all the CD keys are DIFFERENT.
For example:
One day my cousin came round, with an interest in dawn of war. I hooked the laptop up to the internet and installed the game and Winter Assault on my laptop (My no CD crack feature meant I could play the game without a CD on my computer) then logged the laptop into the Dawn of War lobby system, as I went to do the same with my computer, a message saying "The system could not log you in, another player is playing with the same CD key." Appears. This is also the same for Dark Crusade.

some mods come as files that you dont ope, you have to drag and drop some, just follow the instructions on the readme, thats probably what youre doing wrong
