As I said in the past I have been thinking of other randomly spawned buildings, which give you some advantages.
So now I want to show you what evolved from that idea.

In the next release there will be some new winconditions to select. Each of them makes the game spawn a new kind of building with each building related to a strategic point, objective or relic. By capturing that point, you'll get control over the building and can use its capabilities.

There are for now:

  1. Chaos Shrine

    • requires a strategic point to be captured
    • can attack nearby enemies
    • can detect infiltrators
    • spawns a Chaos Warp Storm at your drop point, that protects your troops and damages enemies
    • the more Chaos Shrines you control, the more effective will be your Warp Storm
  2. Capturing a Chaos ShrineThe real might of a Chaos Shrine

  3. Imperial Guard Basilisk Magnus
    • requires a relic to be captured
    • can attack enemies over long ranges by using its Earthshaker round ability
  4. Necron Beacon of the Deceiver
    • requires a strategic point to be captured
    • can cloak your nearby units, but cannot cloak itself
  5. Necron Chronometron Beacon
    • requires a strategic point to be captured
    • can slow down nearby enemies by using its Chronometron ability
  6. Necron Resurrection Beacon
    • requires a strategic point to be captured
    • can resurrect your Necron troops by using its Mass Resurrection ability
    • spawns a squad of Necron Warriors on creation
    • by capturing the related strategic point you also get control over the Warrior squad
  7. Space Marine Deep Strike Beacon
    • requires a strategic point to be captured
    • can deep strike your transportable squads
    • can detect infiltrators
  8. Tau Ar'Ka System Controls
    • requires a strategic objective to be captured
    • can attack enemies over long ranges by using its Fire Orbital Defense cannons ability
  9. Capturing an Ar'Ka Cannon

  10. Tau Communications Tower
    • requires a strategic objective to be captured
    • can detect infiltrators and reveal FOW by using its Reveal ability

If you lose control of the related point, the building gets deactivated and you cannot use any ability or other feature until you capture the point again. I also thought about not only capturing as a requirement. So what if you have to fortificate the strategic point or relic in order to gain control over the building? Which buildings do you also want to have (Blood Pulse is planned, too)? Make your suggestions!

Currently those winconditions can only be used for SaR games, but it's possible to split them into separate parts I think. As jONES1979 requested I made a separate wincondition to easily turn auto-requisitioning on and off and there's also a wincondition, that allows you to build mines in your SaR games. What do you think about a wincondition to turn the spawning of cage guards on or off and what about a wincondition for an "infinite search" mode, so that you have no prisoners limit (except the number of spawned cages) and can only win by defeating all of your enemies?

A last point to mention is, that I'll add support for Titanium Wars SS Mod as requested.

Hi guys, as we all know Sega owns Relic, it is not known the future of Dawn of War (3) saga, but DoW still is property of GW, thou I think DoW3 will be a future anticipated news? I think they need to listen to us what we think is best. There's other companies that listen to their fans.
In my opinion, if the works of DoW3 is underdevelop? It is best to release the game with 10 armies than the usual 3 or 4 armies or continue the DoW where it was left off.
P.S. Oh! for Dawn of War 2 they should finish the Tau army.

Dawn of War 3 is hopeless. SEGA released the last of Relic's games instantly just to get money. COH 2 and don't forget the other short game known as Space Hulk. I'm sure there are more... but unfinished quality, short period game length...

Look at these reviews and tell me Relic intended to release COH 2 with MUCH less maps, MUCH less content, and finally graphics improvement only 5% better than COH's. Also the Russian community hit hard.

Yeah... Sega be abandoning Relic's games just to make money and take in their ideas (obviously the entire copyright they own now) and use it for their own benefits.

Are you kidding me? No, that's not what it's like at all! Relic planned on releasing the game at the same time, Sega had nothing to do with the release date or even the production of the game, especially since it was already complete (for the most part) when they were bought. Sega is not a tyrannical corporation.
As for Space Hulk, the game was not even affiliated with Sega, it was an indie game and was not even published by anyone near Sega.
Now, for the graphics. Company of Heroes 2 has a totally new engine (admittedly, mostly created for the game mechanics) had great improvements from the one used in Dawn of War 2. The engine, once again, had nothing to do with Sega, especially since it was built a dramatically long time before Sega even purchased the company. Company of Heroes 2 uses the Essence 3 Engine, which is one of the, if not, the number one engine for any RTS. I don't have the numbers of vertices rendered, but it is quite a good engine. The engine for Company of Heroes (Essence Engine 2) was re-tooled for Dawn of War 2, which had many improvements to the graphics from CoH. THEN they built an entire new engine for Company of Heroes 2 and made a significant change.

Now, for the Russian community. They got angry because the Russians were portrayed as "monsters" because Relic told the truth about their side of the war. The are filled with propaganda and feel that mother Russia is just in what it does and are proud in what it has done. They have been only told of the atrocities of the Germans, not the ones that they have committed. They were angry because the game was showing people truly how awful the Russians had behaved during the war. Stalin DID kill more people than Hitler, you know. It just goes to show, history is told by the victors.
As for Sega using Relic just to make money, I don't believe that is so. As you can see by what I have stated, we have not even see what a Relic-Sega game looks like. If you read about Sega obtaining Relic at the auction, you'll even see how delighted the publisher's workers were. They dreamed of working with such an RTS Sci-Fi giant.
I am excited to see what is to come! Also, Games Workshop gave the license to Sega so they can make Warhammer games. Relic is getting a larger budget than they ever have with THQ (although, I do miss our beloved THQ) and they get more resources, such as what Creative Assembly has developed. I have high expectations for their new games. Don't be scared of change, no matter what you do, it will happen. Instead, enjoy it and attempt to find things about change and stop being bitter.

Well that sucks. I saw something about "you lost your time to repent" a few days ago, but it appears I missed the show.
Is the image uploading restriction definitive? As in, no image will ever be uploaded here again?
Because personally I'd rather have epic in-game screenshots up there. Eventually :/

This page (DoW game) just need an own (local) motivated supervisor.
Community is growing day by day, and obviously, moddb stuff personal must handle enormous amount of issues, complains, etc.
And sometimes the solution is simple! Just limit the rights of community, because this is "proprietary" site after all, and nobody really cares your/my/his wishes.
Or, hire a motivated volunteer(s) (like you or moddlord1), but that looks as a bit harder.

Just my thoughts.

For 6 years now I have been playing Dawn of War. Modding it gave me that extra plus.

8/10 because it is a really good game. I am however ashamed that Relic stopped at Soulstorm.

10/10 because I always experienced something new in it.

So much more could have been done, that was ignored during development.
Betas should of had more input.

Only saving grace is that there is a Modding community with which to complete the incomplete game... :(
