It is the 41st Millennium in Sub-Sector Aurelia, a cluster of worlds on the edge of the Galaxy, and a battle of epic proportions is about to begin. Ancient races will clash across the planets that dot this section of space, battling for the greatest of stakes - not only the claim to the land and its bounty, but the fate of each race.

Technical note: Dawn of War II and Chaos Rising are compatible with each other. Mods for one game will work in the other.

About Space Hulk Mod with 2 comments by Kornelord on Apr 8th, 2011

After six months, a new version is released. I've been working such a long time in order to bring you this new update, but the result is here: Space Hulk Mod 1.3.1. So, what's new ?

  • First, there is new content: six maps are added! Three maps for Space Hulk Reloaded, three for Original Space Hulk. You will now be able to control the Giddeon's squad and sink further into the Space Hulk... A few screens of the new missions:

  • I also improved the error system. It's now easier for the new players to get the mod working fine: if you forgot to do anything, the mod tell you what is wrong.
  • A large number of bugs have been fixed, the ones which still survive are unfixable.
  • A special mission, "Litany of Angry", is added. I can't tell you what is happening in, you have to see it by yourself to believe it. But I give you a clue: someone is very ANGRY!

  • Space Hulk Mod is now compatible with Dawn of War 2, Dawn of War 2 - Chaos Rising and Dawn of War 2 - Retribution! With Retribution, the mod is better than before so it is much advised to download the Retribution version if you can.

I think DoW2 is an way incomplete game
Several of the reasons are as following:

Some basic mechanics like being able to tribute your ally(as an example)are failing.
The units have unbelieavable high popcosts. The army you can have on your screen doesnt look big as an army at all but an small taskforce.
The lobby is terrible.Almost 0 socialization.U cant see other players ranks, scores before u join in their game and inspect them. There is no chat lobby so u cant exchange even a single word with other Warhammerers.
Theyve done ranks but didnt expected that everybody cant play "Capture and Hold".Seriously i want to play Annihilation in ranked mode,so why not? There are 2 game modes why only 1 in ranked and the other being unplayable ?
Failing units in multi(an f***ing transport & jumpjet inf. for chaos, epics for SM,Ork,Tiranid. These are really failing)
Actually there are capturable structures in campaign play but theyre unused in multiplayer. They could been done so that theyre neutral structures in multi maps. For their purposes:
Automated foundry gives build time reduction,
Imperial shrine gives ability cooldown speedup,
Whoever holds the Comm.relay generates more Global resource etc.
Wonder why they couldnt made it :/
In addition:
DoW2 needs an "Versus hero arena" in addition to "Last Stand" game mode.Last Stand is the "PvE mode","Versus Arena" will be the "PvP mode"

DoW2 could have been a masterpiece(has the potential for it),theyve hit the choice to do it only a "good game"

In response to the pop-cap thing, DoW2 isn't about fielding whole armies (we got DoW1 for that), it IS meant to be about a small taskforce.

Why go back to DOW 1 when DOW II was supposed to be its successor? Honestly...

DOW 1 has the most terrible engine not made for Apocalyptic battles, yet if you field hundreds of units in DOW II, no problem...

DOW II has utmost potential and Relic needs to learn how to create a very enjoyable game...

its a Microsoft windows game is the only response i need to make in regards to your comments about the game as soon as a major company involves its self into any project they typically go to hell
for that i use examples:
mechwarrior 4
shadowrun
sony online entertainment: star wars galaxies and the list goes on

not to forget:
The idiot wall of txt that appears on the left bottom corner of your screen when "X persons settings are too high and is lagging the game" & the automatic DC if it continues more than half a hour.Being able to start a game but unable to finish it due to that.Even if everybody is agreed to continue with the lag & dont kick the lagger.
Whenever a 3v3 starts somebody drop at start, minutes later one more goes, continues so on and suddenly you found yourself playing 1v1 on a 3v3 map with 4 idiot AI's that constantly attack without planning.

Where should i start, played it through 3 times so good it is. guiding my small squad through the levels, looking for cover, using special powers. The brutality in battle, when smashing through orks got me an adrenaline kick close to an FPS. The classes so well done. with the sniper cyrus for example, scouting out the enemy and calling in artillery barrages and/or taking out key enemies with the sharpshooting ability. or setting up devastators with their huge ass MG or plasma gun, suppressing hordes…

graphics are good but other things are bad. If it would have gameplay like dawn of war soulstorm then it would be amazing, AMAZING!!
