Darsana HotFix 1
Jul 09, 2006 Patch 0 commentsThis is a patch for Darsana Public Beta 1, it essentially fixes those annoying dissapearing bugs and also does a few other tweaks. Such as increased speed...
Darsana is a first person medieval indie game with RPG and FPS elements
· Battle as either the Undead or the Knights in the ‘Destroy The God' game mode in which each team must protect their own god statue and destroy the enemies' god statue located in their lair or take on the other team in head to head team deathmatch.
· Increase damage, weapon accuracy, arrow velocity speeds, and swing speeds by level progression of weapons as they are used to slay your enemies
· Choose between the might of melee weapons ranging from fast small swipes of dagger to the large heavy handed blows of the battle axe, archery with the long bow or crossbow, or magic with the elements of lightning, fire, and leech
· One up your foes with additional items such as mana and health potions for quick boosts for that next big spell or surviving a blow, explosive arrows for radius damage with archery based weapons, or the buckler for sustainable blocking at higher percentages of deflection
· All free, all online, all stand alone!

After the initial release of Darsana beta 1.0 there was a hotfix within 24 hours to combat the major issues, now that those are fixed more features can be added and hopefully improve the overall gameplay and look of Darsana.
Current beta 1.1 upcoming features:
Also due to engine updates (thanks to LordHavoc):

thanks :), however you cannot hold block up perpetually without shield, that there is a quick block with melee weapons.
ok here's my take on darsana

The thing that stood out to me the most playing it was that the other players were running, but they looked more like they were sliding along the floor, kinda like they were wearing roller skates, that was the first thing that could use adjusting that i noticed, the map i played was pretty bland, and the fact that u can only block for a few seconds, now correct me if i'm wrong but it seems that realistically, a man could hold his sword like he was going to block for more than a brief period of time, i don't know how realistic yall were trying to be, but u should be able to hold right click to blockfor as long as u want, other than that
The graphics were pretty good, the gameplay was fun, and everything ran very smoothly while in play as well as the buy menu working nicely
I'm putting together a small game at 7pm PST I have room for 10 people. The server will be called Dredboss' Darsana.
Good lucky on the game i'm glad to see this puppy get this far
i just flip open console and type quit :o works anywhere
hehe starman pwns.
But really there isn't much of a game here, even the awful weapon ballance issues aside. The melee combat does not work well at all and hugely favors randomly pounding on the attack button while running in a circle like an idiot over any kind of skillful attack/parry system. That said, I see where you are going with this and look forward to future releases.
As for how to quit: I think only us oldschool Quakers intuitively knew that you were supposed to press Y at that screen to get out.
Wow, people are just overflowing with stupid. It seems your beginning to be attacked just like Troy even though you put more time effort into creating something that works, looks good, and its ultimately fun. Anyone who just comes in here to complain should just leave, post constructively and help fix the things you disliked about the mod.
How bout next time you stop feeling obligated to get free games in absolute working order the first time around. Good games take time to get on their feet and become the best of the best. Darsana is on its way there.
Same, who the hell makes a game where you can't quit?
I dont like it either. You cant even quit, I had to ctrl + alt + del it away!
The game is horrible, you can't even spawn and when I checked Information for information, it only showed stupid credits. Not only that, the retarded zip installer doesn't even point to its own folder. GG 4 worst beta release this year.
