Darkness Exhumed is a survival sandbox game, where just about anything is possible.
Why is it different?
The game focuses heavily on building mechanisms to aid your surivival (such as traps and complex wiring) however it is possible to survive without, Zombies can break blocks and will eventually force you out of your current location, causing you to constantly move around the map to survive.
Other key stuff
On rare occasions larger more powerful creatures will come and attack you (which has similar links to Terraria's bosses). The games survival aspect is loosely based on Haven and Hearth and includes permadeath! The game when finished will feature multiplayer and will keep receiving updates for a while afterwards.
Art style and current downloads
(The art is currently being switched over, some art that you see in the screenshots are very old and is in the midst of being converted to the new style. Also the versions which you can find of the game are fairly outdated, please do not judge the game on those or the videos as gameplay has changed significantly since then).

Darkness Exhumed is still on its way, I recently moved up to University (college for some of you) and I've been getting into my course as well as finishing up some projects that I had on my mind. I now have more time to dedicate to stuff like Darkness Exhumed and can safely say I should have an alpha version out soon.
I'm just re-doing the crafting system and working on combat a bit, before getting into content, after which the first paid-alpha will be released.

So I listened to the feedback, I changed the shadow, reduced the hitbox of the green monster and increased deceleration for tighter control.
